Bama Game Thread: Official PostGame Thread Bama vs. LSU...

Bama will be a double digit favorite in Auburn.

You must know more about how oddsmakers work than I do. After today’s performance and Tua’s questionable readiness I’d say both State and Auburn games will be extremely tough and all of a sudden very losable.

You were the ONLY one on here that had today’s game pegged and so I’ll start paying more attention to what you have to say.;)

State is not a losable game.

There is more to this than one side. You've spoken of our flaws but what of Auburn's and Mississippi State's? Mississippi State is one of the worst teams in the conference.

Honestly wonder if we should rest Tua for the next 2 weeks. I know its not Sabans way but it might be worth it to give him some time off.

I think the toughest test remaining is Auburn...……….Miss State will play tough, but I think Bama will win that one going away...……...the next game will be something the team has to watch due to their tendency to like to cut block

Our offense can outscore any other offense in the country if Tua is healthy. That's our wildcard.

What you say is true, but the Tua factor overcomes it.

I'm not sure we'd beat Ohio State, but I'm convinced we could and probably would beat anyone else, even LSU in a rematch.

I agree with this. Especially the rematch with LSU with a healthy Tua. If Tua wasn't gimpy and holds onto the ball (I think he was hesitant about the run which may have contributed to him losing the ball), he most likely makes that TD on the first drive with his feet. A rematch, we don't make that many meltdown mistakes in the first half. Not to take away from LSU but crap, how much of a hole did we dig ourselves into in the first half.

Under normal circumstances I would agree. For the Saban era, this is unchartered territory. I’m not convinced that Tua is 100%.

State is not good. Bama has them easy. I’d say 45-17 at this pointS

Auburn has the best defense in the country, but they have a QB that wilts under pressure. As long as Tua can continue to improve his health and is good to go in that game I’m not that worried. Bama should win that one easy, but we will see how they do against UGA. If UGA wins easy I expect Bama to win even easier. If UGA struggles then it may be trickier.

idk I think if we crush a top 10 Auburn team on the road it'll be close since Auburn would be Oregon's loss. It'll probably depend on how Oregon looks. I agree itd be better if it were a 2 loss pac 12 team but that seems less likely.

Auburn will only be in the top ten if they beat UGA.

Alabama should blast State and WCU. Auburn outcome probably depends on how the UGA games goes...if they lose to UGA then I expect them to be in the tank as it seems like the defense has been kinda miffed about support from the offense.

Two short fields. One bogus TD. One fumble inside the 10. Penalty on the Int. And yet we kept it more than respectable. I saw kids hustling. Lack of experience is forgivable. LSU is riding a wave. But it won’t last. I believe that. For no other reason than it’s LSU.

LSU would have you believe they have the best defense...………….as does UGA

It’s AU, then probably Florida/Georgia in a toss up. Then after that I’m not sure. Perhaps LSU? Then by default Bama? LSU has an okay defense but they’re definitely outside that top 3 in the conference.

Tua was rusty, but the first half offensive game plan was trash. LSU defense was crowding the LOS all game. We stubbornly stuck with the short passes too long. Once we started throwing over the top we scored.

Agreed. I've been impressed with Sarks play calling, but I really wonder why we don't take as many down field shots with Tua tossing the pigskin.

This would have been the game to take more shots...just to loosen them up a bit.
