Well, ended up a great win to finish the season/ ring in the new year!

I was very impressed with Mac Jones’ pocket presence today. He moved around enough to extend plays where necessary, stood in there to take the hit to complete the play, and threw it away when he had to.

Absolutely no doubt that Jeudy and Najee made some $$$ by playing in this game.

IMO, Saban let Najee score that TD to help him. Saban does not run up the score. That was about helping Najee.

We actually finished a tight game this year. This score is misleading to me as far as how the game went, but I love how we finished with toughness.

I think he was referring to Saban’s comment that the players loved playing for the university and for each other, and they played hard in the second half to turn the game around for each other.

Probably no intended but it did immediately bring to mind the guys who decided to leave their team hanging and not play.

I agree but Allen, Payne and Q were held maybe even worse. They have to learn to get off of it. To me it just seemed that they wanted to hand fight to much. I understand the two gap scheme and all that but the dline was a weakness this year

The lack of holding calls across all of football (NFL and NCAA) is getting annoying. I get it, people want touchdowns but defense is still enjoyed in some circles

Michigan OC stopped using the run

Yeah he did. He over thought things. Just run what is working. We were stopping the run better in the second half, but I do agree that he started off passing more in the second half.

Interesting that Saban said they chose to run more of the nickel package in the second half. I was curious to see how they would deal with Michigan's offensive package in the first half. Looks like they were much more concerned about the movements of Michigan, than the run game and figured that a faster and more experienced group of players gave Bama the best chance on defense. Definitely paid off.
