So you're saying if I walk out my front door and go to work. Stop and get gas on the way and it's still low like it is now. Stop on the way home and get groceries - get what I want at reasonable prices. Still get the same paycheck - which pays all my bills and then some.

But you make a good point that how it is "handled" here in the US could influence voters.

I'm in wait and see mode - I guess I have more confidence than you that we will come through this as best as could be expected.

I don't think that he will be defeated because of the virus, but if the cycle into a recession begins (for any reason), he loses. That is just the way it works.

My daughter's business is France is taking a punch in the gut. The lockdown area in Italy is just a few kilometers away through the tunnel and reservation cancellations at her resort are coming in by the dozen...

Yeah, that won't do it. He has screwed up a ton of things and gotten a pass by his base, and his base really knows nothing about science so they buy his lies. But the virus could wreck the economy, so it could indirectly impact the election.

That's what I meant when I said the virus. All things included and associated that can be pinned on him and his administration.

I believe it to be a "barometer" for many people. Obviously it's meaningless if someone is out of work or can't pay his bills because his paycheck is cut.
