Alabama, Texas and Colorado are his final choices.
most have him going to Bama. But most scouts would not be surprise if he chooses to go Texas ( he wants to get into the medical field) or Colorado ( his father attended there) .
I'm hearing it is between Bama and Texas. I'm leaning Bama, but if he picks Texas it won't be a shocker for the reasons that you stated above.

Zach Pyron a 3* QB from Pinson Valley just outside of Bham has decommitted from Baylor. Bama may be a factor if we decide to take 2 QB's which I think we need. He can throw it and will be someone to keep our eye on.

lots of Bama fans like him. no offer at this time. let's see how his senior goes and then we can have a better gauge from Bama

So as of this morning...I'm leaning Texas for Finkley. This is a toss up...and can go either way. I wouldn't be shocked if it was Bama or Texas. He has played this close to the vest and there just isn't solid info out there...everybody is guessing. Solid sources that I usually rely on are guessing on this kid.

With Oatis on board how many more defensive line guys do you think we take? We lose two seniors this year and not sure if any juniors will declare this early. Thanks as always for the inside info you get.

Finkley has taken OV to both Texas and Colorado. He has never taken an OV to Bama , but has been on campus numerous times. if he does commit to Texas, good for him and the longhorns. Alabama has options and will explore all of them.

These are a couple of guys I’d like for us to get. Not sure if they’re on the radar necessarily but their tape looks good.

Perry continues to be evaluated and could see a push depending what he does in his senior year and where Bama's needs are.

Finkley is definitely a take...Texas came in, sold him on the academic side of things, and won this battle. Hats off to them...Bama will be fine though.
He was quoted yesterday I think that he was going to play with the best…? He missed that target by a mile, but Bama will be fine.

Is his recruiting done? Hard to believe he'd want Texas over Bama
Bama will still recruit him. He has taken OVs to Colorado and Texas. He hasn't taken on to Bama yet..he has however visited multiple times. I think he will take a OV this fall, but he really like the medical school at UT and he wants to be a neurosurgeon.

I saw an interview with him last night and he said it came down to UT had a new 6 year old medical school on campus that he could walk to everyday and Alabama's was not that convenient. I will give him credit for looking at all facets of a school and what you want to do after football. Good luck to him.

I would imagine that if being a neurosurgeon was you life dream, playing a game that gets your hands and fingers destroyed isn’t wise.
