Floridas SEC east odds are +1400

and intriguing one to me is South carolinas SEC east odds of +6000
vegas is not as emotional as fans are. Originally I picked Georgia to lose three games and USCe to win the East. But now after the emotion wore off I’m more convinced that Georgia is more likely to go 12-1 and the only loss be to Bama.

georgia winning the East is the most likely scenario. Doesn’t mean it will happen by any means. I believe Georgia is likely to be a 12-2 team by years end.

If it’s not Kentucky or Florida then it’s going to be a truly shocking loss that Georgia has in the regular season. I just don’t see it but then again “who does?”

yea, if we could see it then we wouldn't be working regular day jobs. I just know how hard it is to have a 12-0 season and that 11-1 is more likely. Georgia could go 12-0, lose to bama in SEC championship for 12-1 and then have the air let out of them from the game as they lose their NY6 bowl or first round of playoffs for 12-2

11-3 is about the worst I expect, anything below that will truly be a disappointment on the season. I admit though, it is possible. it is football so who knows.

as a note on the vegas odds though. I do find it interesting that GA has better odds currently at winning the national championship that ohio state? that one does not make sense to me. Oklahoma and USC are interesting teams in my opinion as they have the chance to make playoffs and from there it could be anyones race over 2 games.

I think the East is a Pier6. I think UT shows up this year.
they have my interest, I’m just honestly unsure the details on their entire team. Does the defense have any guys who can make a name for the themselves? No sarcasm there. Their roster looks to consist of 90% or better upperclassman which in my opinion is always a big deal

Lotsa fifteenessee hype around here (I live in this God-forsaken hell-scape) and I suspect the offense will be quite good. Hooker was low-key stunning overall last year, first year in Heupel's system, so if they can field a decent defense, who knows?

That said, they still lag well behind UGA and Bama wrt team talent, and considering they have to play both, I find it hard to believe they win the SECE. In fact, I can't see any reason to think UGA won't repeat in the East - I can't see UGA being as formidable (you don't lose 15 players to the NFL and not see some drop-off, eve if it's just team leadership), but Kirby has built a monster over there.

Anything other than another Bama-UGA SECCG will be a surprise to me.

One thing I’ve learned about Tennessee is never bet when everyone expects a big year. Everyone is high on Hendon Hooker and I don’t quite understand why. He is good but not great. I don’t get why 247 and every sports writer is so sold on him and Heupel to the degree that they are. I still think they are 4-5 years from seriously challenging anyone in the elite category even with NIL. Tennessee has a strategic flaw that they still haven’t addressed and it’s a defense. Tennessee had so many drives under a minute last year that I’m surprised anyone tried out for defense this year.

I think your East order is this

1) Georgia 12-0
2) Kentucky 10-2
3) Tennessee 9-3
4) USCE 7-5
5) Florida 7-5
6) Mizzou 5-7
7) Vandy 2-10

Seriously??? I love living in Tennessee. IMO, it's the prettiest state east of the Mississippi.

I suspect you are referring to living among Vile fans. If so, I'm right there with you.

Perfect. I'd like to bet on the septepta (if there is such a thing).

Because he quietly had a really good year last year - third highest rated QB in CFB: http://www.cfbstats.com/2021/leader/national/player/split01/category02/sort02.html

I think in year two, assuming they have skill players and an OL, the offense will be quite good.
Yeah but it just feels like Jalen 2017 in which stats say one thing but the story on the field says another. I just remember Tennessee constantly holding the ball for under a minute with a boom or bust offense where it’s either a big play or a quick 3 and out. You kinda see a common theme in which he does really really great against teams without a pulse and very mediocre to just good against good to elite teams. The dude could only put 14… on Florida.

IDK… it might be just me but I just don’t see this game changer that others are convinced he is. Maybe I’m wrong, but I just remain unconvinced at this point that we are looking at a 1st round draft pick like many are hyping him up to be.

I wish I could bet on the Heisman in Maryland on mobile because I'm going to the casino's here

I'd love to place a bet on Ewers/Will Anderson. And then hedge it with a bet with Stroud or something
