My concern isn't so much about this team. I knew that Alabama wasn't going to win it all a few weeks ago. My concerns are broader, as I think that they are for most here. This is the greatest dynasty in the history of the game, and I really don't want it to end.

Saban looked desperate at times in this game. If he starts to feel that he has become ineffective, he will walk away. A win next week would make everyone feel a lot better, but that seems like a pipe dream right now.

We really could be witnessing the end of an era.
I hope this will snap Saban out of it. I think he stuck with what he had because it was nearly enough to win a championship and he saw change as a bigger risk than disrupting recruiting and trying someone else out.

I think now we unequivocally can see that these coordinators are not the answer. Especially Golding, who has had every chance to get Alabama back to greatness on defense and we now know there's no amount of talent that will make his defenses at Alabama truly elitel. He's not that guy and he never will be.

Time to rip the bandaid off and I've made it clear I hope the new course he charts somehow involved Pruitt (much in the same way he stashed Sark) because that's one guy I KNOW can do the job better than Golding. Everyone knows that...

Swallow pride, mend bridges, tell the SEC to take a hike, I hope Saban finds the resolve and I think he won't want to go out like this. I think he will want to go out on top.

I don't see 31 going in the first round. I just don't see anything there. Not sure what happened. Dude should have taken that top 10 money last year. He has been a non factor during winning time. Essentially, pretty much every game.

Do you think he would hang it up this year if wheels fall off? I hope not, but is it a possibility? I want him to right the ship.
One never knows what is in the mind of another. Could he? Absolutely. Will he? I just don't know. But if he isn't willing to move on from these coaches, we will all come to wish he had, as blasphemous as that might sound.

Year is done...Golding is done...Saban is no longer the goat...the magic is gone...if there aren’t wholesale changes fans should expect more of the same next year...selling Mercedes and Aflac are Sabans forte...not coaching...
I honestly don’t think I will watch us play another game. The product on the field is highly unacceptable!

I would welcome Pruitt back with open arms. He's a major upgrade and I don't care what the SEC or media say.

Saying Saban needs to retire or look at life after football is ridiculous. I have full faith in his ability to get this right. What makes him great is his ability to build a program. This season reminds me in some respects to 2010. Lot of talent on that team and they just never were able to win the big ones. I agree wholeheartedly that coordinator changes are desperately needed. Maybe Kenny Dillingham at Oregon for OC and DJ Durkin for defensive coordinator. I don’t know, just definitely need some changes

I posted in the game thread that we might be missing Cochran more than we're letting on. I know half of the S&C dream team left. Haven't heard a lot about S&C this year.
Yup.. Coach Saban needs too look at our S&C coaching staff as well..

I think we lost that edge of simply being stronger & faster as whole within the football program..

We're getting pushed around at the LOS on both sides of the ball & we just look slower as a whole team wise..

I think I may do the same. No need to torture myself. I'll use the dvr and watch if they win. No need to get my blood pressure up. I have been a fan my whole life and have had some seasons where I just said let's try again next year.

I'm reasonably certain we'll be shopping for another offensive coordinator regardless. I don't know what the answer is on defense because no matter who is calling plays, this is and will always be, Saban's defense. Saban has done a great job evolving with offenses changing the way they have from 15 years ago. I'm curious if he is ready to overhaul our defense they way he allowed our offenses to catch up to modern standards.

He played good here and there but when it counted most he wasn't there. I think his draft stocks has definitely fell. But he probably still goes in the top 10 for sure. Not top 3 now.
i think we have too many guys who thought they were Facebook 2020/21 but are turning out to be Meta 2022.

Bryce being injured didn't make the defense play awful in the fourth quarter and OT.
Didn’t say it did. I just find it odd that they will say things like “Young was feeling the pressure, he had an uncharacteristic 49% completion rating” then just move on. The fact he could barely throw the ball is a pretty big elephant in the room if you are going to talk about poor passing. That’s all I’m saying.

This loss was, again, on the entire team. Players and coaches.

I can understand the reasoning behind the 1st 2pt conversion, not the 2nd…
It made no sense to me either at the time, but I thought maybe I'm missing something, but I guess not. What is the difference between a 5 and six point lead?

the sun will still come out tomorrow and to say this team and staff is a disappointment is an understatement. Simply, every single coach needs to be held accountable, including CNS. Don’t care we lost . I care with how we continue to play week after week after week. Once again our staff was out coached all night. Missed tackles, assignments etc.

Stating obvious but something or someone is broken . We lose to ole sis. Last rant, why is Will always dropping in coverage? GN.

Please, something needs to change.
All this talent, and mediocre results.
The defense is the opposite of clutch, and the offense is just plain hard to watch at times, we seem to run the same 3 to 4 plays over and over.
Gibbs outside, RB up the middle and a slow developing pass play...thats about it.

I'm typically a pretty optimistic person, but it's been obvious since the Texas and Texas A&M wins this team wasn't a quality team.

Now it's wait and see what CNS decides to do. And yes, if his response is weak, it doesn't bode well for the future.

And it certainly doesn't help when I watched a Georgia team today that looks like my team used to look and play and big games.

If we’d played UGA in the SEC championship game this year, with our O-line Bryce Young might have been killed by their defense. Now that that is out of the question, perhaps he can rest a bit, get healthy, look to his future, and we can get a look at next year’s QBs instead. Something looks wrong with Bryce, and I hope continuing to play isn’t bad for him in the long run.
