Bama lost Friday night, 4-3 in extras. I forgot how many it went 11 or 12. We forced extras with 2 in the bottom of the 9th.

Today, Luke Holman is on the mound. Tide is 1-3 in the SEC. Need the next 2.

I deleted the updates. Saturday can be described as ugly. When Kentucky gets on basepaths, they move them around and Alabama's infield defense leaves something to be desired. Not sure I've seen a baseball game where 2 runs were scored on bunts.

Not looking good today 9- 3 in the top of the 7th. Was hoping for a better season from this team.... Looks like same old thing though. Looking like 2-4 (and that's assuming we come back today which I doubt or win tommorow)is the best we can hope for headed to Arkansas next weekend. It will be tough to win any there. Could very easily be looking at 2-7/ 3-6 in league play.I know the league is stout but you absolutely have to win series at home and avoid sweeps on the road.

Bo has to go period. We are playing the same players, they haven’t shown the improvement they should have. Same style, same mistakes.

Appreciate what he took over, but we are now 40-83 in the sec under Bo. He’s been smart enough to schedule the weakest non conference schedules in the country to boost the win numbers, but 1 regional appreance (and we snuck in that season) in 6 years. 40-83 in sec. It’s time to move on

Here is the problem… regardless of who you hire Alabama will most likely be the 10th best team in the SEC entering the season. Everyone is under this false assumption that a coach is magically going to change that, but it couldn’t be further from the truth.

Yeah everyone will bring up Butch Thompson going to Auburn, but that’s a miracle from god kinda hire. Butch could be managing mlb teams and was in line for the MSU job had he stayed. Auburn never should’ve got that man in a million years, and quiet honestly I think they were shocked that he came. How often is that going to happen.

Bo and Vitello are more in line of what Alabama is going to get at best. Guys that are extremely high risk and high reward guys who have reference lists that expand across the US. Tennessee gambled on Vitello and we gambled on Bo. Most experts believed we got the better one at the time.

My point is that we are going to keep doing this over and over and over again. Everyone has that guy in mind, but my response is always “if that guy is so good then why isn’t he it at a lower end of the middle of the pack school in the SEC like Alabama already?” and the follow up would also be “if he is that good then why isn’t he an assistant at an elite program like MSU, LSU, and Florida now?”

So the question is “who?” It really can’t be “anyone but him” because that’s been the answer the last 3 times.

among other things.

honestly if given the choice between firing Bo or Murphy but you have to live with the other for another 4 years then I would choose to keep Bo. Atleast his disadvantages make sense because how behind we are institutionally compared to the other schools and you could make the case that if he had one more quality arm in the pen that Alabama could be 4-2 in sec play.
