This is where I disagree a bit. I have no idea where our QBs stand in the other areas you mentioned, and I agree that there is a minimal threshold to meet in each category in order to be a starting QB for Alabama. However, and perhaps I'm misunderstanding you, I think there is a very large gap between Milroe and the rest of the group in terms of running ability. While I think they might all have ability in this area, I don't think it can be dismissed how much more Milroe's ability is greater than the rest and the added dimension that provides. Milroe can legitimately run away from DBs. Buchner is probably the 2nd best runner, but I don't think he's close to the homerun ability that Milroe provides.
You are correct that Milroe's running can't negate a deficiency in passing, decision making, ball security, but I have no clue where each of the QBs stack up against one another in those other areas. I'm just saying this is a strength Milroe has that I don't think should just be treated as equal to the others.
All the running ability in the world ain't gonna mean squat against a 9 man defensive front.
I don't care which one can run like a gazelle. Gazelles are frequently taken by prides of lions even though they can run faster.
I don't need a superstar at qb. I need someone who can process info on the field, pass accurately and be a leader. I don't need a happy steps under center.
