2023 RIP Thread

My uncle and namesake John White is dying tonight of kidney failure.
He was a Vietnam vet, two tours, attack Hueys and then medevac version of the Huey. Shot down twice.
He is 90 years old.
Please pray for his family. My Uncle Johnny is a good man.
As a youngster, he taught me that brown cows give chocolate milk.
Later in life, in a more serious moment, he taught me about the virtues of military service. He loved the Army and was proud of his service.
God give him peace at his passage and his family as well.

I'm sorry, TW. Sounds like your Uncle Johnny lived a long life full of service, and has the respect of peers and affection of children.

Thank you, John White for being here for 90 years.

My uncle passed yesterday afternoon at home with his family.
I will miss him.

I'm sorry to read about this, TW. Your uncle sounds like a man that had a life well-lived. Ninety years is a really good run. Not everyone gets such a good influence growing up. I'm sure his legacy will echo for generations. God bless him, you, and the rest of your family. 🙏

Messina Denaro: Notorious Italian Mafia boss dies

There is a reason an Italian, Dante, wrote The Divine Comedy. He was the epitome of evil...people like this are the main reason I believe in hell...there has to be justice @ the foundational level of the universe.

One could almost be tempted to say good riddance.

Terry Kirkman, singer-songwriter and founding member of the band ‘The Association’, has reportedly died at the age of 83. The Association’s Facebook page posted the following update, “We’re saddened to report that Terry Kirkman passed away last night, RIP Terry. He will live on in our hearts and in the music he so brilliantly wrote.”
