Bama Game Thread: Official Postgame Thread - Bama vs. Vols...

Things I learned about the game today from reading on Vilenation.
Bama holds every freaking play
Bama should be called for PI at least 1 out of 2 passes attempted.
Viles fans weren't happy with the 4th down calls. LOL
Saban pays the officials
Did I mention Bama holds on EVERY play? They mentioned it more than once.
I knew this but if I didn't after reading Vilenation I would now know that the SEC office is in Birmingham.
Anyone know which reporter asked Heupel the question about officiating? The reporter all but accused the refs of delibarately favoring Bama.

WOW, what a game! Admittedly, I had given up after that late score by the files b4 half.

Anyway, great day and I learned my lesson! Roll Tide!

The first half was my fault. I was home watching the game. At half I had to leave to drop my children off...two different places....I didn't make it back to the house til after the scoop and score.

I almost sat in the driveway and listened so I wouldn't jinx it, but I went back inside to watch it despite the possible jinx.....we still won.

Roll Tide

Steele doesn’t allow someone to constantly run a homerun play on him throughout a game nor does he allow a star player beat him if he has the talent to affect that player.
I don't know the answer to this but ask myself. How many touchdowns did the defense score during the entire tenure of PG!

Said it before, at Halftime in College Station. This team exemplifies the coach speak saying ‘ play the next play’! Bad things happen, play the next play. Every play has a life of its own, play the next play! Roll Tide!

Don’t know that either, but also how many gut check, goal line, or fourth and inches did the defense give up under CPG!
No doubt in my mind, 2022 LSU or UTe would not have beaten this Bama defensive mindset.

Jalen Milroe is 6th in NCAA Div 1 in passing efficiency

I’ll admit that I am starting to see some improvement the last few games.

He is starting to hit mid range stuff more accurately wrt to ball placement.

WR’s aren’t having to make crazy adjustments to balls like in the early games.

He’s also starting to progress through reads a little better and actually going to a 3rd-4th read here and there.

The main 2 things he needs to clean up is getting rid of the ball to avoid unnecessary sacks and to stop running into trouble.

He’s still missing seeing guys that are open on some plays too but it’s not as bad as earlier in the season.

Oh and we gotta start eliminating the turnovers.

I don’t think the INT was his fault but the fumble was via lack of pocket awareness… he saw Proctor get beat with pressure coming and didn’t protect the ball.

But… He IS getting better overall at Passing.

The LSU game will be interesting because it's a different animal than any team we have played this year.

Their secondary is terrible but the QB and Nabers at WR are playing extremely well. It seems unreasonable to expect our defense to hold them for 4 quarters. Going to need the good version of Milroe all game and to limit Perkins. I have this weird feeling Perkins is going to have a career game vs us.

Perkins has been very disappointing this year.
