I totally agree. I've always said that there should be NO rankings until at least early October.
I know that. This entire conversation is based on the fact that we beat Georgia. I comment was based on that.
I think people are getting confused. I don’t think anyone’s trying to say that Bama doesn’t need to be held accountable for the loss. I’m 100% fine with it.

The BS talk of how the PAC12 was the best conference in the nation very early in the year since they were 13-0 to start the season is why. However, let's look at the conference now and it's not the same. They are QB heavy with very little else to offer.
Also, it seems the committee has been blinded by not seeing teams improve and regress during the course of the season.
Because the committee has stated they have dominated their competition. Plus, we are held to one standard, one piece of data, one criteria....the Texas head to head.

They are indeed in the FCS playoffs.
Portland State, on the other hand, finished 5-6. This was Oregons first opponent.....beat them 81-7
Oregon and Bama are held to two different criteria. They dominate their opponents, we lost to Texas at home by 10.
Selection Sunday will be impossible to listen to if we win and all the other favorites win.
So, their non-conference opponents were Portland St., Hawaii, and Texas Tech.
To be clear, they were trailing Texas Tech 28-17 entering the 4th quarter.
So, you are telling me that other than Washington, the one good team they've played (whom they lost to), they've dominated opponents such as the #3 team in the PAC-12, Arizona, who, BTW, lost to a 5-7 Mississippi State team that we beat 40-17...
I won't watch unless I know Alabama is getting in, and then I probably still won't watch.
The first CFP ranking this year was released (fittingly enough) on Halloween...
They should have had this info on the show and asked the Committee to explain....
Texas...has...to....lose! As said, it simply doesn`t matter what happens against UGA.
