Transfer Portal 2023-2024...

TBH, I’m surprised more guys haven’t put their names in the portal to gauge interest/value. The ONLY players available right now are UA and UW. They have the entire supply market cornered at the moment. No other college or HS players out there. If a school really wants an WR, RB, etc then there’s only those few players available. After the 30 days, they could withdraw if they don’t like the responses. The school COULD pull their scholarship for entering but that’s a risk for the school as there’s no one out there right now to fill the spot.

This portal is different than the previous as it is extremely limited in participation. It puts the power in the players hands as they control the market. I hate NIL and what it’s doing to the sport. However, it is what it is and I can’t blame them for at least looking.

Will Rogers is coming to Bama?
I would be very surprised if he does. We a ton of talent in the QB room thst IMO is better thsn Rogers. Also, CKD and OC Grubb are excellent QB coaches and I don't think it will take long before the QB's are running the offense the way they want it.

If we can get Ryan Williams back in the fold Bond would be a distant memory…or until he has to come across the middle against Bama in a future game.

These recruits need to actually LISTEN and go look at the incoming staff's offensive philosophy. If I'm a QB and WR and do even a little research on CKD offense I'm at least giving it A HARD consideration

It wouldn’t bother me if Steve Sarkisian never won another game. He took half of Saban’s staff with him in 2021 and now the best skill players off of an offensively dependent program.

Saban never recovered from the 2021 rape, hopefully Alabama will recover from the 2024 rape.

So much for his appreciation for what coach Saban and Alabama did for him.

IMO, if anyone is culpable, and maybe no one is, Sarkisian is more so than the kids.
I had always given him a pass for some reason. But he actually took a lot more away from Coach Saban that Kirby did.

I’m afraid it’s all about the NIL $ at this point. Possibly short selling their future development for instant gratification.

I've always heard that WR's are the Prima donnas of football players so it is not surprising that it seems to be them that are not thinking it through.

Oh yeah, they can be high maintenance and can get out of hand real quick if not managed well.

Makes Julio, Coop, Smitty's careers all the more impressive and refreshing

So, there was a “mutiny” during USF because the players were mad about Milroe being benched

yet If he’s QB they will leave?

Sounds like Saban had a mess on his hands.
If I've missed it, and I might have, please forgive me, but I don't remember any proof that this (a "mutiny") actually happened. What I remember is the same posters stating that this had happened over and over again.

It was obvious that a lot of players really liked JM a great deal and wanted him as their qb, but did they tell CNS that they weren't going to play if JM wasn't in at qb? In the USF game Buckner, who was second string at that point, was worse than any qb I've ever seen at Bama, and Ty simply wasn't there confidence-wise it appeared. So Coach Saban went back to Milroe. I don't think the players said 'do it or else'. Again, if I missed something regarding this matter, I'd genuinely like to know the truth.

I will add that, even though our new head coach and OC might be the best quarterback coaches Milroe has ever had, I seriously doubt he wins the competition this spring. It was painfully obvious how deficient he is against Michigan, and I don't think these shortcomings are going to be corrected in the next three months. He seems like a great guy, and I was in his corner all season. But it's now time for a quarterback other than him.

LOL, you want proof? Watch the USF game.
