Another thing to consider is the "counselors" in these young men's life. All they see is dollar signs to made off their son's/nephew's/grandson's talent. They give them bad advice for selfish gain. In the past we didnt see this rear its ugly head until year three when deciding to go pro. Now it's a problem at the end of each season if their kid isn't getting theirs.

Btw- this site is getting impossible to use with ad pop-ups, freezing, crashing, etc. I've tried ad blockers, and it doesn't help much. It's better on my new MacBook but terrible if browsing on my iphone. I know- you have to pay the bills. But, it's very glitchy.

One reason I've tried to remind people DeBoer isn't Saban when it comes to recruiting is these boosters can't he complacent with this hire. Sure, DeBoer might be good with 3 stars, but this is the SEC and you don't want to test this theory.

Saban was getting a discount, DeBoer being new to the region and having no existing relationship means there might be a tax. If people want to sustain the success of the team now is the time to open the checkbooks. If DeBoer can get off to a strong start it will get easier (and cheaper).

I'd not worry much at all right now..................if they go two weeks without a DC then be concerned, but i'm pretty confident they will get one. The whole TRob thing sounds like he wanted to go anyway, so get someone who wants to be here

The mark of a good coach is adaptability. That is Saban's hallmark. Deboer has shown he is a very good, winning, football coach. He seems open to learn from Saban but this will not be an overnight transition. We are going to have some defections, maybe a lot of them, but those who stay will probably warm up to our new coach. Recruiting MUST BE the center of everything this guy does from here on if he wants to have success and I get the feeling he will adapt. Gonna take a minute though.

IDK about anyone else, but I primarily visit this site on my phone these days. Phone got an iOS update last night and now I can't access the TF servers from my phone- just takes me to a generic football page with links to football gear sites. Tried closing out and everything, but doesn't work. At first I could access the main TF news page, but it wouldn't let me log in and now I can't even get to that. Still works on my computer though! I always forget where tech issues are supposed to be brought up. Maybe its just on my end.
