He's on campus now, since last night or earlier. So is his dad. I've been reading updates on BOL from the moderators. Things are going really well.

I really wish some of you would go back and delete/edit comments about this kid's recruitment/decommittment.

If you put yourself in his shoes, you might be just a little bit more reserved in your comments. It's his life. He can't help he's being recruited in this ever changing time in college sports.

He's 16/17 but he's planning for a multi-million dollar career and this decision coming up on his birthday is bigger than a grown man's feelings on discussion board.

I know our new coach will recruit him very, very hard with proof he will offer him 3 years to get ready for the NFL.

Yep and it's been stated numerous times that more than fans read these threads. At the end of the say these kids have to do what they think is best for them. If Hurts would have listened to some of our fans, he would be playing running back right now just saying

I am not saying don't believe this but if you were trying to get a school to cough up more money for you (Auburn, Texas A&M, etc.), would you not maybe get your buddy to put that out there?

So are you saying Jaylen put that out there to get Ryan more money at another school? If yes, I think you are incredibly wrong. I don't really think you would need to send out a text to get more money, just tell them.

In fact I know it does because I follow this recruiting board like crazy and I watch how our fans flip out when things appear to not be going our way.

And I watch lots of Fox News. So I am always up for a conspiracy theory.

But you added a "but" to that statement which changed your whole viewpoint. Anyway you are free to feel this way. I just think that is a major stretch.

Money doesn't matter on this one. Put that out of your heads. He will get it wherever he goes but it's not making this decision.

I think its us or Texas fwiw. I would probably say its Texas, just given familiarity with the staff.
...but we are in it more than some of yall seem to think.
