Bama Game Thread: Official PostGame Thread - Bama v. WKU...

Tua: A&M, Auburn, Ole Miss
Bryce: Utah St., KSU, NMst., Ark. Southern Miss
Mac: Ohio State, Auburn, Florida
Jalen: Middle Tenn, Western Kentucky, Kentucky

Not the same kind of five touchdown games. Jalen destroys outmatched opponents.

Mac and Tua are fighting for the most impressive, Bryce has two solid performances, but Milroe's have been against outmatched opponents.

I got Mac as #1

Auburn (Iron Bowl) 18 of 26 (69.2%) for 302 Yrds 5 Passing TD's 0 INT's
Florida (SECCG) 33 for 43 (76.7%) for 418 Yrds 5 Passing TD's 1 INT
tOSU (CFPNCG) 36 of 45 (80.0%) for 464 Yrds 5 Passing TD's 0 INT's

That's basically the 3 most important games of the season.

87 for 114 (76.3%) for 1,184 Yards 15 Passing TD's and 1 INT

Mac Jones was an ICE COLD Blooded Assassin in 2020

His per game avg numbers were just ridiculous and in just about any other season wins a Heisman.

I told my son in law who was watching the game with me that, if Proctor was in shoulder sleeve, his arm under his shirt, and it appeared immobilized or in a sling, my guess would be a subluxation or dislocation of his shoulder.

This is pure speculation on my part though.

Your speculation does not appear to be wrong.

I'm hoping it turns out to be minor/partial and not need surgery.

They all had easy games. Most were outmatched at that time.

For Jalen Milroe, a quarterback rating of 374.4 is pretty good, and promising for the season. Jalen nearly turned the ball over on the Tide’s first possession when he was sacked and fumbled. This was the play where 2 OL had left the game after losing their helmets. That play, plus a couple of snap miscues from Parker Brailsford gave some flashbacks to last season. But the rest of the game Jalen did great. Definitely improved over last year. Brailsford also had a good game.

Many times it depends on the direction of the dislocation (anterior or posterior) and the amount of damage to support structures. Still I would not expect him back for a few weeks at the earliest. Hate it for him.

I didn't get to watch a lot other games yesterday. I did watch a good bit of Miami vs Florida. Cam Ward is good... but his WRs were making plays on poorly thrown passes all game. I was more impressed with his WRs. Florida is toast and I don't see Napier lasting the season. The body language on that team as the game wore on reminded me of Alabama in 2000.

I watched a fair amount of Notre Dame vs Texas A&M. A&M looks like a 6-6 team at best. Notre Dame looks like an 11-1 team that's going to get plastered in the playoffs against an actual competent opponent.

My biggest takeaway from Georgia/Clemson is how much lower can Dabo go before he gets canned? How badly can a 2-time NC winning coach tank his own program? It looks like we are going to find out. I'm sure Georgia is loaded and will be in the thick of the NC race. But Clemson being non-competitive is more of a story to me.

There was a lot of cupcake eating during the first week, but it looks like this may be one of the most difficult SEC seasons in a long time. Several really good teams.

My take on the game I like what I saw I do not think showed everything they got. I feel like we will a lot when the season goes on especially when we face Georgia.

Overall a very good performance, 21 plays, 8 minutes time of poss. and 42 points in the first half! Also on the snap's could it be Milroe sometimes is a yard or to closer than usual making the snap looking high? Just like a QB knows the WR break on a out so the center knows the distance on the snap

I think the high snaps are just bad snaps. What is causing them is still unknown.

There's no indication Milroe has anything to do with it. We've seen bad snaps before with other quarterbacks. May not happen again this season. First game nerves?

The 63-0 victory over Western Kentucky marks the largest margin of victory ever achieved by a first-year UA head coach in their debut game in program history.
Even if it was Western KY.

So a shoulder dislocation requires 4-6 weeks recovery time? Do you mean to tell me the movies have been lying to me for decades?

My Dad dislocated his shoulder trying to crank the motor on his Bass Boat in the 80’s and never recovered.

I don’t know how that’s relevant or helps but hopefully a D1 athlete has better recovery…lol

“It was a pretty flawless beginning. The fact that Nick Saban was there may have been the biggest surprise to me. I figured he would show up when he had to, but he and Miss Terry were there.” - Pawl Finebum

Paul seriously thought Saban wouldn’t be there for the first game? He’s such a weenie.

I know they do wonders for ankle injuries. So maybe he recovers sooner than later.

CKD said they were not on the same page. Which is more or less the story we heard last year, even from Jalen if I recall

I don't remember it happening with Bryce, but maybe it did. The excusing/defending the QB because of it didn't happen with BY, that's for sure, though

Biggest Dweeb in the media yet somehow he is a football expert. We all know his career is built on pitting Alabama fans against Auburn fans. His expertise is in hot takes and he has done that brilliantly. Definition of pointed headed talking head though.

season opening blowout is the death knell on his tenure. He already had an uphill battle coming in to this year with that nasty schedule.

He’s cooked
Yep.Talking to some Fla people at church today, think the PTB in Gainesville will be rolling it out for Kiffin at season’s end after Billy’s gone.
