Disney vs. Direct - How long???

I'm so done with DTV, the main reason I have kept them is for camping where it's hard to get a internet signal sometimes. Tired of the DTV cost increases also.

I used to have DTV years ago and they would jack the rates up every other month.

NEVER again...😠

Does anyone, who has insight into how these negotiations work, have a prediction on how long this dispute will last?
Had a big party planned with all my Tide fans and had to cancel due to idiotic negotiations. Every time direct does this we lose one or more channels, some times up to five months.

This is the reason I went with the 3 week trial of YTTV. Boy is it worth it. Spend the two fity on high speed internet instead of cable and your cooking with gas.

Totally agree. It seems to bounce from provider to provider, year after year, but the common denominator is ESPN.

Doesn't require much thinking to see who the culprit is here.

Extortion is too strong of a word, blackmail might be okay, but let's just call it leverage. :)

As others have mentioned, this is the reason it usually happens at the beginning of football season.

I expect it to only get worse for SEC fans, and those with providers exclusive to the SEC viewing region, now that they have exclusive SEC coverage.

As the ESPN fiefdom grows, the serfs will continue to pay through the nose.

And, as @4Q Basket Case has stated above, your particular provider is not exempt from this annual stalemate.

Just my 2¢ :)
The common denominator seems to be Disney. I think Mickey Mouse is CEO now.

It’s always been very good and very dependable.

Now that it also has pip multiview for 4 games at once I couldn’t imagine trying something else.

Oh and it also has unlimited DVR saving.

I just checkmark all NCAA games and never miss anything. Way more convenient than having to manually hunt and search for specific games to record weekly.
I just wish YTTV would let us choose the 4 games ourselves. I know they have a number of options but every week they don't have one with the 4 games I'm really interested so I still end up switching between channels.

Now, the ESPN app on the Apple TV does allow you to pick any 4 games but, of course, they all have to be on ESPN/ABC networks. If YTTV did it this way it would be the GOAT.

It sucks being a baseball fan thanks to Sinclair's greed. Fubo and DirecTV are the only streaming options for regional sports networks and they both cost more than YTTV.

This app gives you the regular ESPN channels? ESPN ESPN 2 and so on?

I signed up for YouTube to be able to watch the USF game.

My issue with YouTube TV is the inconvenience of not having the 30 advance or the 5 second rewind buttons.

Also, it takes forever to boot up and is easy to knock off line. I have to scroll through 8-10 other options (Prime, Netflicks, etc.) to get to YouTube. Then is have to go the menu on the left and scroll down to YouTube TV then OK that and I'm finally where I can choose what to watch. It's a PITA.

Also, there's almost no baseball on YouTube. I want Bally Sports to be able to watch the Cardinals and Braves.

That says more about the device you're using than it does about YTTV itself. You should be able to just install the app itself and launch it directly. Also, it can absolutely skip 15 seconds ahead just by using the directional arrows.
