Milroe's accuracy

Zero question Milroe missed a LOT of passes today. From the stands, on one long scramble he looked to have a TD if he threw it instead of running. Seeing those WRs WIDE OPEN play after play but not getting throws (inaccurate or not at all) is depressing.

Overall Bama looked better for the most part (def in the second half), but unless / until JM hits those wide-open throws with catchable balls, Bama's ceiling is limited.

It is what it is.
This is the kind of issue that sends WRs running to the portal....

Will continue to be a “fanboy” of whomever holds that position. RTR
And that is awesome. Everyone here was pulling for him while he was on the field. Since it is very clear that he will be the starter for the remainder of the season, we will all be pulling for him.

It is possible to pull for him while also recognizing his weaknesses.

yeah, but there is a big difference in recognizing his weaknesses and folks repeatedly stating he is purposefully tanking plays and doing other things to "hold the team hostage" and promote himself.

Yeah agreed. I don't think B1G has really done this at all but there is a massive difference between criticizing his on the field play and attacking his character based on almost no evidence because you don't like his play on the field.

Again I don't think B1G falls into that category though.

Yet he still missed wide open receivers, again. I am not saying he isnt a good player, I am just wondering what has happened with him.
There's always going to be a few misses. I'm more concerned with his completion percentage drop-off. Maybe he's being rushed more. No clue.

i definitely don't think @B1GTide is doing that, i was just using his post as a jumping off point.

To my eye he is noticeably slower than he was against, say, Wisconsin. His mechanics are what they are and I do not expect to see any change with four games left in the regular season. As long as he plays hard and represents my alma mater well, he deserves and gets my support.

I was mildly surprised that he didn’t give way to a backup a little earlier, especially if he has some nagging injury. But that is a coaching decision.

He looked a little gimpy on a couple of runs…at least gimpy compared to how he looked earlier in the season.

I suspect he’s pretty beat up at this point of season…like everyone else.

Completely agree. Milroe has not played to well the last few weeks, though I honestly thought he was fine in the Vandy game. I just get frustrated by people on this board hijacking every thread and turning it into a Milroe discussion and throwing out conspiracy theories about LANK or the team intentionally throwing games. Obviously, I have the choice to not participate in those discussions, and I won't, but it is nonetheless frustrating for a board that I have always found to be above that kind of rhetoric.

I'm not able to make the games any more, and I really miss it. Watching only on TV gives you tunnel vision, whereas, in the stadium, you can see the plays develop and overlooked open receivers. The present situation with NIL and its impact on the game itself will eventually resolve, one way or the other, simply because the present system, if you can call it that, will collapse of its own weight...

I have tried to figure out why JM doesnt see open guys. I have resigned myself to believe that Jalen doesnt know the plays and by that I mean he doesnt know how the plays are supposed to operate. It explains to me why he is late on his throws as he mostly throws only to open people the way you do in backyard football. He is finding people open and not knowing they are open.

Barring injury an unimaginably horrendous performance, he’s the starter for the balance of the season.

People can be as happy or unhappy about that as they want, but it’s not going to change anything.

Bond's remark on his reason for transferring, that he wanted to play with a genuine drop-back QB was very telling. He said the quiet part out loud. We have a lot of talent at receiver which is not being utilized. Anyone who thinks that won't influence both the portal and recruiting is whistling past the graveyard...
