Yeah, it's why I don't like him shaking hands going into the tunnel at the half. It "seems" all for show. Why not do it in the locker room? OR, better yet, why not get your butt in there ASAP and talk about the adjustments the offense (you especially) needs to make in order to win the game in the second half?!

JM, the laugh is on you because your former OC has forgotten more football than you'll ever know!
I believe Tua and Jalen did same thing .... ?

After 11 games, I'm not sure anyone is making any adjustments at halftime other than opposing coaches.

On offense - what can they adjust? QB can't do much other than he's already doing.

Defense, I agree. Womack is simply getting his butt kicked with some of the things he's doing. some of the alignments are worse than when Golding was having Anderson line up as a DT, and at the time I thought that was the most stupid thing I had ever seen an alabama team do

I re-watched the game last night, and, honestly, even if Milroe had played better, we still would have lost. The offensive line was atrocious, to the point that if anyone questioned their heart in last year's USF game, then they should have the same questions after Saturday's game. The defensive scheme was laughable, and our receivers are extremely average and have no ability to block, yet, we continue to run wide receiver screens. This is probably more anecdotal, but every team that has tried a shovel pass against us has won.

I don't dislike Milroe, he's stayed out of trouble, represented the University well, and has played the best he's able to play. Sometimes that play is really good, and sometimes it's really bad. The problem is that he's just not a very good quarterback, and he probably never will be. Is it time to move on from Milroe? I think even the most optimistic fans, like myself, recognize that he is what he is, and we will never be anything other than a good but not great team with him. I say this knowing that we probably win the national title last year if we just avoid one or two mishaps in the Michigan game, but the problem is we never avoid the mishaps. So, in my mind, it's time to move on. I'm tempted to say "I fear" that Milroe is coming back, but instead I will say "I think" he's coming back, or will at least want to. It will be a watershed moment for DeBoer in terms of how he handles that.

I see a lot posted about the LANK stuff, and I don't know anything about it, and I would guess that there is probably no one on this board who really knows how it has impacted the team dynamics. It's probably mostly speculation, and some of it may be correct. I don't know. I just feel like we sometimes reach for explanations on things and jump to absurd conclusions in order to explain why things are what they are. I think the real reason in the disappointment of this season is the simplest answer. We have all new coaches, we don't have the players that fit the systems they want to run, and we tried to fit a square peg in a round hole this season thinking we had a shot at being really good and it unfortunately hasn't worked. Much like Milroe, we've had moments of greatness and we've had moments of awfulness, but fairly or unfairly, it's across the board and not just on Milroe.

Wommack was asked when he came here what was the “philosophy” of his defense. He said it was predicated on “being aggressive, flying to the ball, creating negative plays that puts the offense behind the chains, and creating turnovers.”

Problem is, in his defense if you don’t do that, you’re in a hell of a lot of trouble. It’s all fine and dandy if you’re putting a defense in second and third and long and your offense is capitalizing on those turnovers. When that doesn’t happen, Katie bar the door. That’s pretty much been the story in the three losses.

So you are saying there's a chance?

Seriously, my mind thinks of many reasons he would try to return. I was rooting for him to finish strong and go to the draft, but I wonder about these draft predictions after he's been made to look so hapless in several games this year.
I'm prescribed to this is his last year, from insightful conversation here last couple of weeks, and what we're seeing with keeps and preservation etc

That is why I said that we need him to play well at Auburn. Need to get that draft stock up there.
I don't think it really matters. DeBoer simply isn't going to wait another year to implement his offense, because if he doesn't, he won't make it another year. We'll send Milroe packing if he doesn't declare for the draft. That, I am certain of. It would be career suicide to let Milroe return as the starter

I only remember BY doing it, but my wife tells me I'm wrong occasionally. 😁

If his performances on the field would just come close to backing his personality off of it, we'd be just fine.
There is no question that JH did it, probably Tua, maybe others.

Early in the year (USF) Formby was so bad that Pritchet was viewed as the savior at RT. WF may have made dramatic improvement since but the Bama offense came to a standstill with him in the game. An injured Pritchett was like an AA when they inserted him the last few minutes of the game.

Bama has the most talent in college football according to people who do this kind of thing for a living.
How many 1st or even 2nd round picks will we have this year? Maybe Booker a second round pick. We have very good players and are young and deep however the top level talent in the upper classes.

I have no idea. The point is you can be the most talented team top to bottom and have tons of depth, but still not have superstars. There’s literally no metric that can support the argument Bama’s problems are because of lack of talent.

Before we go down this road…. We have constantly had the most talented team in history 3 years in a row. But yet in 2 of the 3 years we were some of the most penalized teams in the nation and we had a whopping zero national championships.

I think when talent is not coached well or is uncoachable it becomes irrelevant of how talented that team is. So which do people want to believe about the last three years??? Was this team not coached well or were they uncoachable? Because you are basically bringing Nick Saban into this argument.

CKD/OC/DC are easy targets.

But, if you haven't done so and don't know, look up CKD's record as a coach. He hasn't suddenly forgotten how to build a team and win about 90% of the games he's coached.

Sure, there's a learning curve to what the SEC offers (and all of us are adjusting to that as we go to 16 teams and this new CFP).

So what's the logical explanation for this dilemma???

Occam's razor theory would lead us to believe that the reason we are so limited on offense and didn't make adjustments on Saturday night against a great defense is that WE COULD NOT do anything different because of the limitations at ONE POSITION.

Don't have to go further than that!
