IIRC the playoff chair stated the order of those not playing this weekend would not change. I take that as SMU losing won’t get the bye but could shift to first round game. If Bama is 11 now that would shift us to 12 and push Miami out. Unless of course the final rankings push SMU behind us, as it should based on SOR/SOS.

The problem with this game going to overtime is that SMU really needs to win now. I generally think Bama will be in regardless, but if this game goes to OT, I'm not so sure.
