To piggyback on my thoughts, I envision a situation where the larger NIL budget schools feed off the smaller budget NIL schools. The larger schools will still get their players, work on them, see how they progress. Two years into that cycle the larger school will check out the "leftovers" the smaller schools got and see who is exceeding expectations. Calls will be made to agents, NIL will be offered, and the small school will lose their star players. The large schools will encourage their recruiting misses to go elsewhere by not renewing their NIL deals, and the strong get stronger, and the weak get weaker.
