It's now going to be played opposite the Gator Bowl Ole Miss vs Duke. There go the ratings for that game
Outcry from who? Cannot let the terrorists win. There is an outcry for it to be cancelled. I don't understand that. If things are that dangerous, just move it elsewhere. Plus, wouldn't cancelling it also effectively cancel the Orange Bowl semifinal too? Who would Penn State play? Would Penn State then just get a bye to the national championship game by default?
Just the usual "cancel everything" crowd. Nothing substantial thankfullyOutcry from who? Cannot let the terrorists win.
I think a UGA student was critically injured so maybe that played into the postponement as well.
If I had not had to go pick up some drugs at CVS, I would not have even known about it. Not one mention on the nonsports board.

Terrorists win. Terrible choice.
Not really. Postponing is not the worst choice. Canceling would be.
A lot of people are preoccupied today, maybe. I see it when I check news online but nobody I know is talking about it except one person. If I had not had to go pick up some drugs at CVS, I would not have even known about it. Not one mention on the nonsports board.

I think cancelling would be a bad choice and don't know if they've ever developed a plan for such a thing but there have to be many who feel like doing it right now.Cancelling would be illogical as it would cancel the Orange Bowl semifinal too
Sounds like they're taking a day to search the premises of the SuperDome and make sure there aren't IEDs or something. There were some found in the French Quarter. No, the worst choice would be allowing the game to go on and having a horrific tragedy on live television.
Yours, however, is second.
Well at least it wasn't postponed due to a positive COVID-19 test as would have been the case just 3 years ago
