It occurred to me that the CIA muct have it's own asessment of where Iran is on development of any type of bomb. If there is an adult travelling with Trump I would also expect that the topic would be discussed with Saudi Arabia and other Arab States during Trump's recent visit. My conclusion from this is that there is no reason for the US to react only on Israel's pronouncements.
If it wasn't such a very serious matter it would be almost comical to see how Trump bridges his high regard for Netanyahu and his infatuation with Putin over one's bitter enemy and the other's close ally and supporter.

In the tweet I posted above, Jeffrey Sachs is saying the same thing. And look, I am completely on board with keeping nukes out of the hands of Iranians, but to my knowledge, there is no credible intel to suggest they are as close to having them as the Western press wants us to believe.
We won't know what Trump is going to do until he actually does it, but if he's not careful, he could conceivably destroy his own movement. The establishment likes to present the Trumpers as cult followers who never question their leader, but today has pretty much disproven this assertion as anyone on X can tell you. There is a LOT of inter-party fighting going on about this. The kindling is set; all it needs is a spark.

I have been led to believe that Israel has complete air superiorty over Iran. If that is the case and the facility isn't accessable by use of bunker busters and Israel feels so strongly about the Iranian nuclear threat then why not land the number of special forces needed at the site, with close air support to take out the facility. Israel started the conflict they should finish it alone.
