The only people who got their "drawers in a bunch" in 2020 are the mouth breathing glue sniffers who like to pretend Kim Jong Don didn't lose to a corpse.

And his lawyers who raced into those same judicial systems with the equivalent of a five-page book report littered with the word "very."

Since you didn’t specify, it’s unclear as to which decisions you are referring. Some state courts prior to the election ruled that failure to adapt to emergency conditions violated the voting rights of the citizens as guaranteed by the state constitution. Most sensible people accepted that as a wise decision, especially since it was clear that the rationale behind the lack of response was to make it more difficult for some to vote (under the usual guise of preventing voter fraud, of course). But maybe that’s not what you were referring to.

You mean the Republicans whining incessantly about "they're changing the rules" because - you know - a FREAKING PANDEMIC was ongoing and they wanted to pretend it wasn't?

What's hilarious is all of Trump's whining PROBABLY cost him both the state of Georgia in the election AND at least one of the two Senate seats, meaning control of the US Senate with Biden coming into office.

You know, part of my issue with Bill Clinton (whom I wanted to give a chance) was that when he started in office and his rating plummeted that first six months, he would lie about as badly as Trump is doing right now. He'd say groups had met in one setting, deny they even existed in another, and someone in his administration would come out with contradictory information later the same day. To his credit, Clinton did get most of this corrected, and hell, I'd probably lie under oath about extramarital sex, too, if I didn't know the devil in the blue dress had kept the CSI evidence. THAT was my issue with Clinton early on in his Presidency (not that he beat the guy I supported).

But having said that, Trump lies in the morning, tells the opposite lie for lunch, tells a different when he wakes up from his afternoon nap, and tells another right before he goes to bed not next to his supermodel immigrant trophy "let's pretend we're together" girl. He's taken Clinton's 1993 learning curve and turned it into a leadership style that has more in common with (wait for it) a casino operator or used car salesman than a US President.

(My apologies to any casino operators or used car salesman on Tide fans for the comparison to a felon).

The shame of it is the Democrats wont spend time in their districts wearing plain clothes speaking in plain language to their constituents to try to change minds.

The Democrats clearly do not believe that any Independents, financial conservatives or those who mistakenly voted for Trump and now regret it could possibly vote for a Democrat.

Until they are ready to make a legitimate effort to separate from the extremists, they have no reason to believe that. The NYC mayoral race bears watching closely for this very reason.

i'm there with you. when 8+ years brazen and shameless lying and deceit is taken as gospel truth by many and met with shoulder shrugs by many others who should know better, i'm not sure what the best strategy is.

Oh yes! Tariff collections are up but not nearly as much as the increase in the deficit. Price inflation is also straight up and job creation is straight down. I guess outright lying is included in the job description.

The right is seriously invested in making Mamdani the left-wing boogeyman.

Yeah, Mamdani is farther to the left than most, but the alternatives are two ridiculously corrupt ex-mayors, one of whom resigned due to multiple reports of sexual harassment after falsifying documents relating to his nursing home policies during COVID, while Curtis Silwa staged crimes to raise the profile of the Guardian Angels. So I wouldn't look to this race as any kind of indicator other than perhaps the people of NYC just want someone who will tell the truth.
