I think the flying flag at half staff for her was asked recently since he did it for Kirk. He stated that if the governor had asked him to, he would have. I think the State of Minnesota did lower their flags, is that right?

Oooo, a social media post. He didn't make a statement to the nation in front of cameras. He did say this to cameras a few days later, though:
"I think the governor of Minnesota is so whacked out. I'm not calling him, why would I call him? I could call and say, 'Hi, how you doing?' Uh, the guy doesn't have a clue. He's a mess. I could be nice and call, but why waste time?"

OK, at least I understand the assassin. But...why in the world would you go to the meeting of someone you don't even like and then distract the cops when you're THIS stupid?

I don't go to Trump rallies or chess matches or gay bars (knowingly anyway) or gun shows or any of that junk because I'm just not interested in that stuff. Nothing wrong with that, well, except the chess matches, but just not my thing.

Why would a guy do this? And btw, it's always a GUY, never a female.

And that's why suspicion of an actual conspiracy just got a teensy bit of validation.

Not as much as they'll pretend, but it's something.

What did Charlie Kirk shooting suspect tell his roommate? Read Tyler Robinson’s alleged confession - al.com

The roommate told police he received text messages from Robinson on Sept. 10 -- the day of the shooting --, in which Robinson wrote “drop what you’re doing, look under your keyboard.”

Under the keyboard, the roommate found a note that stated, “I had the opportunity to take out Charlie Kirk and I’m going to take it,” Gray said.

Police found a photograph of the note as well during the investigation, the district attorney said.
After reading the note, the roommate responded to Robinson, “you’re joking, right?” Gray said.


Here’s how the rest of the exchange went, according to the attorney:

ROBINSON: “I am still okay, my love. But I’m stuck in Orem for a little while longer yet. Shouldn’t be long until I can come home, but I gotta grab my rifle still. To be honest, I had hoped to keep this secret till I died of old age. I am sorry to involve you.”

ROOMMATE: “You weren’t the one who did it, right?”

ROBINSON: “I am, I am, I’m sorry.”

ROOMMATE: “I thought they caught the person.”

ROBINSON: “No, they grabbed some crazy old dude, then interrogated someone in similar clothing. I had planned to grab my rifle from my drop point shortly after, but most of that side of town got locked down. It’s quiet, almost enough to get out, but there’s one vehicle lingering.”

ROOMMATE: “Why?”

ROBINSON: “Why did I do it?

ROOMMATE: “Yeah”

ROBINSON: “I had enough of his hatred. Some hate can’t be negotiated out. If I am able to grab my rifle unseen, I will have left no evidence. Going to attempt to retrieve it again. Hopefully they have moved on. I haven’t seen anything about them finding it.”

ROOMMATE: “How long have you been planning this?”

ROBINSON: “A bit over a week, I believe. I can get close to it, but there is a squad car parked right by it. I think they already swept that spot, but I don’t want to chance it.

ROBINSON: “I’m wishing I had circled back and grabbed it as soon as I got to my vehicle. I’m worried what my old man would do if I didn’t bring back grandpa’s rifle. IDEK [I don’t even know] if it’s had a serial number, but it wouldn’t trace to me. I worry about prints. I had to leave it in a bush where I changed outfits. Didn’t have the ability or time to bring it with. I might have to abandon it and hope they don’t find prints. How the F will I explain losing it to my old man? Only thing I left was the rifle wrapped in a towel. Remember how he was engraving bullets? The f’in messages are mostly a big meme. If I see notice bulge U-W-U on Fox News, I might have a stroke, all right, I’m gonna have to leave it. That really f’in sucks. Judging from today, I’d say grandpa’s gun does just fine IDK. I think that was a 2K dollar scope. Wink wink.”

ROBINSON: “Delete this exchange.”

ROBINSON: “My dad wants photos of the rifle. He says, Grandpa wants to know who has what. The feds released a photo of the rifle and it is very unique. He’s calling me, RN. Not answering. Since Trump got into office, my dad has been pretty diehard MAGA.

ROBINSON: “I’m gonna turn myself in willingly. One of my neighbors here is a deputy for the sheriff. Again, you are all I worry about, love.

ROOMMATE: “I’m much more worried about you.”

ROBINSON: “Don’t talk to the media, please. Don’t take any interviews or make any comments. If any police ask you questions, ask for a lawyer and stay silent.”

If I had witnessed (I watched the video) Obama being shot like Kirk was, even though I am not an Obama fan, it would have disturbed and bothered me just as much. Would I have physically cried? No. Just like I didn't cry when I saw the Kirk video. However, it bothered me not as much because of who it was done to (Kirk), but because of the actual act that was done. No person "deserves" that to happen to them based on their beliefs.

Granted, I'm definitely not trying to sit on my high horse and make myself the universal standard of how someone who is a decent human should act. But I struggle to think that anyone could watch that and say, "I'm not cheering, but it didn't bother either." and not think something is at least troubling about that.

I haven’t seen the video and I have no plans to do so. If I had seen it live I imagine it would have been disturbing. But his actual death wasn’t something I was upset about. I didn’t know the man and didn’t know a whole lot about him. I hate it for his wife and children.

Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Chuck Grassley, R-Iowa, revealed Tuesday that the FBI's election-related investigation into President Donald Trump, launched in 2022, swept in dozens of Republican entities, including the late Charlie Kirk's Turning Point USA.

Speaking during a hearing focused on oversight of the FBI, Grassley said the investigation, which the bureau called "Arctic Frost," was partisan in nature and that its expansive scope was evidence of that.

"In other words, Arctic Frost wasn't just a case to politically investigate Trump," Grassley said. "It was a vehicle by which partisan FBI agents and Department of Justice prosecutors could achieve their partisan ends and improperly investigate the entire Republican political apparatus."

While what Robinson did is abhorrent in every way, I still think the Colorado shooting is far worse and getting too little coverage for yet another school shooting we seem to be doing far too little to stop. If our children have no safe place to go to school, where are we as a nation?

another “outsider” jumped into the georgia gop governor’s race today. he talked glowingly about how trump had brought conservative values back to the united states

funny how they never articulate what they mean by “conservative values”
