So Kimmel got suspended for saying something absolutely wrong.
I remember him praising when Tucker Carlson got fired from Fox or when Trump got suspended from Twitter. So what's the difference here.
I could argue both sides are hypocrites simply because they are going to do whatever is politically advantageous to them.
Difference here I see....the left has said conservatives should be canceled because they are "inciting violence" or they are "fascists" or "Nazis" or some other outlandish thing.
The right, specifically Bondi, said she was going to prosecute "hate speech" and folks like Matt Walsh called for her to be fired immediately because of it. She backed off that crazy statement as soon as she could as far I could see.
(Side note - there is no such thing as "hate speech," there is just speech you don't like) The government shouldn't have any way to punish you for what you said because it was deemed "hateful." Now, there will probably be social consequences, employment consequences etc.....but not government consequences.
I even saw where the Illinois Governor got on Psaki's show on MSNBC and said something along the lines that democracy is being taken away because Kimmel was suspended....and that if people don't act now they will have an authoritarian government.
When one side keeps yelling to their base that the other side is a threat to democracy, a bunch of fascists and Nazis.....you're basically asking for violence against the other side.
