Diego Pavia on Alabama game: 'If we play our game, it won't be close'

  • HELLO AGAIN, Guest! We are back, live! We're still doing some troubleshooting and maintenance to fix a few remaining issues but everything looks stable now (except front page which we're working on over next day or two)

Thanks for your patience and support! MUCH appreciated! --Brett (BamaNation)

if you see any problems - please post them in the Troubleshooting board!

Smart guy. If he can get us emotional and overplaying it just helps him do what he does best.

This is where CNS was so good. He kept everything in a business perspective, regardless.
I can understand you saying that, but, after going into Athens & winning..

I have faith in Coach Deboer & this coaching staff, especially Coach Grubb's calling our offense, the job he's done rebuilding our offense & coaching up Ty Simpson..

Has been one of the best coaching job I've ever seen on the collegiate level..I just hope we can hold onto Coach Grubb's for a few years..

You can bet your backside schools are going too come after Coach Grubb's at the end of the year & we better give that man a raise too hold onto him..

With the sheer talent we're bringing on the recruiting trail, the next few years, will be a helluva fun ride offensively with Coach Grubb's as our OC..

If by chance Ty Simpson wins The Heisman Trophy at the end of the year & it's a good chance that happens..

As Keith Jackson would say, "Whoa Nelle" the sky's the limit offensively, with Coach Grubb's running our offense the next few years..

Im talking record breaking offenses with Coach Grubb's running our offense...

He's that good as our OC & with our talent at his disposal we haven't seen nothing yet..

Give him a couple years too fully implement his offense & recruit specifically for his style of play..

I get get goose bumps of excitement thinking just how good we're going too be offensively the longer Coach Grubb's is in Tuscaloosa

Only one way to shut up the trash talk from others. We failed miserably in week 1 after talking about "disrespect will be addressed". Talk is cheap. Our guys don't need to say anything in response, just respond on the field.
It has been rather quiet coming out of TitleTown this week, hasn't it? Even after a huge win at Athens last weekend.

Vanderbilt is next.

I dont know how our team is preparing for this game, honestly. I know that we are getting elite play from our QB and WRs and serviceable play from our RBs and DBs. But we still need a lot of improvement from our OL, DL, LBs, and ST. In that regard the mystique is gone with Alabama. And our team should be mature enough to recognize this and address it on the practice field and playing with full effort and focus.

I may be totally wrong, buttttttt, Im not going too lie about this, im not sold on Coach Wommack & his "Swarm Defense" in all honesty, at times it feels more like a "bend but dont break" style of defense we had under Coach Dubose..

A lot of players on this team remembers last season disaster. Everybody should remember the FSU game. Vanderbilt has never played on the stage they are about to work onto Saturday. There is a difference between being "a" game on Saturday and being "THE" game on Saturday. Not to mentioned they are not sneaking up on Bama. I think we are going to see a very, VERY motivated Bama team.

Even if Vanderbilt wins Saturday, Vandy will not win in a blowout which Diego implies they will. I still think Bama wins by 17.

In his presser CKD did say he thought the team is doing a good job of handling all the "noise" and "outside distractions" around this game.

I hope they come out focused and a little PO'd with that same chip on their shoulder TS referred to earlier.

Just keep hanging up Pavia's quotes in the locker room this week. By the sounds of it he'll have several more by the end of the week. I hope they pick him off three times and he's got a severe limp by the end of the game.
