Bama Game Thread: Official PostGame Thread - Bama vs. UTe...

  • HELLO AGAIN, Guest! We are back, live! We're still doing some troubleshooting and maintenance to fix a few remaining issues but everything looks stable now (except front page which we're working on over next day or two)

Thanks for your patience and support! MUCH appreciated! --Brett (BamaNation)

if you see any problems - please post them in the Troubleshooting board!

Such a HUGE win!

We may have to rename Ty to Tysome!

And, I know Jam has been hurt, but Daniel Hill has a lower gear in traffic and a higher one when there's a hole.

I hope we see him more!

My only complaint is I feel like there are a couple of series a game, after we get a lead, that Grubb tries to run the ball almost to prove we "can" but then we end up 3rd and long and have a 3 and out.

Look, nobody in recent games, can stop our passing offense. I just don't understand why we don't keep the hammer down. We can run the ball in the 4th quarter with a big lead if we want to, but we need to keep building the lead when the game is closer!!!

I think I scared one of the 9 lives out of my cat when Zabion grabbed that ball and took off. When I started screaming GO GO GO, he jumped about 2 feet straight up in the air and took off for the bedroom.

Between yelling and screaming and taking a few puffs from a cigar, my throat is a little scratchy this morning, but it is so worth it.

Small thing but is there any way to not have this forum drop off the net for ~2hrs about 30min after every night game? These are our biggest games and the forum goes into reset mode or whatever basically immediately following.

I agree and we're working on it! Very frustrating :( We're getting slammed by content scrapers at midnight that we believe may be a root cause. We made changes behind the scenes a few weeks ago that helped, but 10x-20x traffic hitting the site at those times from your usual suspect countries. Unless we have new-found fans in those countries ;)

Big forum update coming this week. Hoping it also helps, as well.

That pic was a thing of beauty. But when you look at it closely, the throw was terrible ball placement by the Vile QB. His spot is the front corner pylon. He threw it at or slightly behind his receiver, giving Brown a perfect angle to the ball.

The look on Bobby Hill Huepel’s face was priceless.

I couldn't post anything last night, but here we go:

What a game! What a game! We all saw same thing last night, so I won't get into lot of stuff.

Offense- The run game continued to be frustrating for me to watch. At this point, Grubbs need to abandon inside run plays for the most part. I'm glad he realized outside run play worked for the most part. The 3rd quarter playcalling that led to punting ****ed me off. Three straight run plays.

Defense-We got killed on run all night long. I kept wondering when will we adjust to tighten it up. Last night was a scheme issue from my perspective. I think we did okay job because we limited them 142 yards compared to their games. So I can't really complain. Now, passing defense... they did pressure the quarterback and came close several times last night!!!! several of the passes should've been intercepted or fumble... So I can live with that.

Game balls go to Pierre and Hill-Green! They were all over the place last night!
FYI: on the interception by Brown at the half, Lawson didn't run hard and you can see him limping running....

On to the next one!
