Potential final ranking prognostication

How is that different from Big Ten? Oregon has played one ranked team. So has osu and Indiana
I agree, the BIG 10 does a good job of scheduling so top teams only have 1 or 2 tough games and with 18 teams it is much easier to do that. but they are a power 5 conference.

That’s because there are only about three top teams. So if you’re one of those teams you couldn’t possibly have more than two tough games, unless you pick up one from OOC.

Yeah, I agree!

Too many here are looking past awbern...and with them basically having three weeks to prepare for their "Super Bowl" game against us, it's starting to look like a trap game! 🤔

Remember, Jason Autrey officiated that game two years ago and it took a gravedigger to save us!😎I
I don't think anyone really believes auburn has better players or coaching than Alabama. Like a lot of folks on here, I have seen vastly overmatched auburn teams play us close until the scoreboard read 00:00 and some of those games they actually won. We should win by 6-10 points but I would not make any kind of wager on that outcome.

I'm confident if that happens, that will be the last SEC Championship Game ever played

Very doubtful. The SECCG is a huge revenue maker.

I think it’s highly unlikely a SECCG runner up is left out with the constant threat of the SEC and B1G leaving the NCAA and CFP. I still see the Big XII loser being left out over even a 3 loss non champ Alabama.

The thing that gives me confidence is DeBoer isn’t Saban and Durkin isn’t Gus. DeBoer typically wins games that are expected to be close or people believe the otherside has a definitive advantage. He tends to struggle in games he has no business being in a dog fight with.

I just don’t see Auburn’s offense scoring 20 on us unless something just goes totally belly up. I think we can score 24-30 on them even in a bad game.

I don't understand the playoff predictor at all. We had over an 80% chance to make the playoffs going into Saturday. We really need a Vandy win over Kentucky to help secure our spot in the SECCG (assuming we beat Auburn), and Vandy won handily. Somehow our chances to make the playoffs went DOWN nearly 20%. What am I missing?

Play around with the “predictor” a bit and you will quickly realize it’s no better than a bunch of random guys rolling dice in a back alley

My guess would be since the % chance of making the SECCG went up, so did the chance of picking up a 3rd loss by losing that game.

Also nobody around us choked so the chance of other teams around us losing went down.
