I've seen on a few lists that he's recommitted. If so, that's good for us and our DBs. CAN someone confirm or tell me what they've heard? I really like the recruiting direction we're taking with these tall dbs we seem to be stockpiling.
Michael Ricks?

depends on who he talks to.....he'll tell one source going to Bama, another that he's still deciding.
This much we know is true: he will NOT be a Dec. graduate but the staff still wants him, anyway.... he's a very fast safety that could step in as soon as he gets here, as long as he learns the schemes/in-shape.
Ole Miss, MSU, Okie State, and Miami
Just an FYI, he really likes the recruiting game.
Most everyone still thinks he is "committed."
I think he is playing a little game right now, because if you truly believe that this guy wants to play for Ole Miss over Bama you got to be kidding me but this world is crazy so you never know. Ill give Ole Miss credit Orgeron must be one hell of a recruitor.
This guy has been back and forth on whether or not he is committed. I removed him as committed from my list. It sounds like the staff has cooled on him, probably because he will not graduate in December.
I will tell you right now there is something dirty and it smells bad. Big O is looking around saying it's not him. He will have them on probation before you know it. Mark my words, he will have Ole Miss in trouble soon.
I have read that he likes the recruiting game and told Bama his coming to T-Town and Ole Miss that his going to UM. It is a very dangerous game that his playing for sure....

if Ricks goes someplace else will that open up a place for some else at UA ?

Not CSurfer, but I can try to answer that based on what I have heard and read. Seems that Ricks and McNeil are it at safety. Could open up things for another corner. That could possibly be Ryan Williams, he has a visit set, or it could be a out-of-the-blue guy like James Scott, who also has a visit upcoming. Other than that the only DB that comes to mind would be Ken Dailey, but he could also go as a LB. If we miss on Ricks I hope we can add another LB in this class. But there seems to be few of those on our board right now.

I think I read somewhere where Ricks could play safety or corner, but I think he eventually ends up at Bama and challenging for a starting position somewhere next year.

According to Ricks himself he is no longer committed to Alabama. So if he does not sign with Bama since he was apparently committed earlier that would be a scholly that was offered to him that would go to someone else. I agree with CapstoneGrad it could be a spot for another DB or LB besides the one that is being held for Michaeal McNeil.

Something tells me that Ricks is not in line to graduate JUCO in December . :wink: Some offers are conditional . Some players are told that if they cannot enroll in December that their offer will not be there .:conf3:
