Game Thread: Monday, Jan. 19, 2025, No. 1 Indiana vs. No. 10 Miami (Fla.) | 7:30 p.m. ET| College Football Playoff National Championship Game (Miami, Fla.) | ESPN

A Miami home game so they will only lose by three TD's. Who cares.

Miami is #1 in the country in sacks and otherwise highly rated in defense, so we'll see.

That lopsided win over Oregon was largely due to the turnovers by Oregon's QB making mistakes.

So the game *may* be closer than we think - I don't know.

On Monday night the Miami Hurricanes take on the Indiana Hoosiers in the highly-anticipated national college football championship game – and Jane Pauley, a fifth-generation Hoosier on both sides, will be watching. She reflects on Indiana University's come-from-behind underdog story, from holding the NCAA Division I record for most losses, to this year's 15-0 record – IU's first perfect season in 139 years – and fondly remembers the school anthem, "Hail to Old IU."

I'm pulling for IU and their Cinderella story. It will be amazing if they can run the table and win it all in Cignetti's 2nd year. I'm sure the script writers in Hollywood are already working on the screenplay.

I'm not a fan of Miami, but I like Cristobal, if that makes any sense. So I don't really care who wins. I'm just hoping it's an exciting game.
