Trump policies X

Just watched Trumps first Cabinet meeting of 2026, first, I didn’t know they were televised, second, it was a propaganda meeting, they only talked about how great Trump was doing, not any hard issues. If this is every Cabinet meeting, and no one speaks up about what’s right , just what is Trump, We are in a lot more danger than we thought.

On an unrelated note, because I have seen news source discussions on other threads. I really like News nation. Not as much commentary, more straight up reporting. Close to down the middle.
Sycophants sycophanting.
Trump is like Anthony in the TZ episode 'It's a Good Life' and the cabinet is like the townspeople.

Housing prices are a zero sum game. If we drive down house prices so that young people can afford to buy their first house we will extracting that from the net worth of all the people who already own a home. There are no winners.
There is no correct policy if the goal is simply higher or lower prices. The sensible goal is stable housing, with prices rising slowly in line with wages and inflation. Boosting prices locks people out, while forcing prices down hurts owners and stability. The middle ground is increasing supply, reforming zoning rules, and helping first time buyers so housing functions as shelter first and a steady asset second.

Affordable housing as well... I realize that the money is better in larger and fancier houses, but they don't build starter homes anymore.

Builder greed certainly plays a part but one of the reasons they aren't building the same type of starter homes we were used to seeing is that land is so much more expensive, relatively speaking, than it was 20 or 30 years ago. Starter homes in populated areas are now townhomes instead of that boxy little ranch your parents bought when they were starting out. If you want a small home with some yard you have to go out to the sticks and be forced to drive everywhere.

34-YEAR RECORD: US Trade Deficit Widens Sharply Despite Trump’s Tariffs
• The Record Jump: The trade deficit skyrocketed 94.6% to $56.8 billion in November. This is the largest percentage increase since March 1992, completely blowing past economist forecasts.
• The AI Factor: Why the sudden spike? Imports of capital goods hit an all-time high, led by massive orders for computers and semiconductors. Experts believe we are seeing an unprecedented "AI investment boom" as American companies scramble to secure the chips needed to power the future.
• Tariff Impact: There were massive swings in pharmaceutical imports, which jumped by $9.2 billion. Analysts suggest businesses may be stockpiling supplies or reacting to the administration’s frequently changing tariff stances.
• Exports Plunge: While imports surged, American exports tumbled 3.6%. We saw sharp declines in shipments of gold, precious metals, and crude oil, further widening the gap.
• GDP Warning: This report is a "reality check" for the economy. While the Atlanta Fed still forecasts a strong 5.4% growth rate for Q4, big banks like Goldman Sachs are now warning that this trade data could pull growth estimates below 3.0%.

Sounds like a pretty good novel! I mean... committing electoral fraud on a scale to affect the presidential election requires some major players.
