So much for the Iranians waving USA, Israel flags in jubilation. Choking off their economy and unleashing rampant inflation hardly builds goodwill with the populace you are supposedly trying free. I don't see how turning Iran into Afghanistan really improves the region.

WATCHING BBCnews interview refugees fleeing to Turkey, they said there was jubilation the first night when the supreme leader was killed, but that turned to fear as the bombing continues almost nonstop. Some are being galvanized with the regime as it seems America hates all Iranians. Especially with the heavy thick smoke that hangs around because of the high mountains around Tehran. The people are having trouble getting food, gas and simply breathing.

So our Republican Congress is now covering for...

- Raping and trafficking young girls,
- Blowing up an elementary school full of young girls,
- Whatever else you want to add to the list

The list of crimes and unbecoming statements from the President and his Cabinet is as long as the Alabama Constitution...
Stop. There is no way in hell the U.S. military intentionally bombed a middle school of young girls. And how is that being covered up by congress, Republican or otherwise? Thats all on the DoD, Hegseth, not Congress. Hegseth needs to step up and show some empathy for grieving parents.

I haven’t seen anyone imply or say otherwise that bombing the school was intentional.

Some are saying that it was a mistake based off of bad intelligence.

It’s confusing though that Iran has the capabilities to accurately attack the US by means of nuclear warfare but according to Trump they are also inaccurate enough to Bomb themselves.

Well no it’s not confusing.

He’s a Liar and Hegseth is the Secretary of War Crimes.

Well this is what happens when you have a draft dodger , and a narcissistic one at that, in control over the military.

This has basically become far worse of a situation and probably killed any hope of a natural regime change in our lifetimes by Iran.

Rule 1: Don’t trust the Israeli expansionists

Rule 2: Don’t elect a guy who sees the military as a 1st and 2nd option for foreign diplomacy in every circumstance.

Then phrase it that way. The statement alone the way it’s worded looks intentionally inflammatory to me . Just saying bombed looks like a typical sortie with typical results.

Hegseth and his boss totally lack the empathy gene.

I previously thought Vance’s puffed up Bravado was peak Cringe but Hegseth takes the cake.

Tries way too hard to come off as B A D Bad while also coming off as lacking empathy.

I also doubt his intelligence since he claims to only speak ‘American’.

I mean good lord he makes your eyes roll completely back.

It's an administration full of idiots. Full of graduates of the Dunning-Kruger School Of Good Government. All convinced that their purposes and goals are great for the country, yet completely unaware (or just don't give a rat's donkey-name) of the stupidity.

You have an attorney general who comes off on Capitol Hill like a drunk PTA MILF smelling like stale Chardonay. You have the head of Homeland Security who finally gets fired for incompetence by a President who can't seem to stop hiring the incompetent.

Now, we are in a war without clear objectives, without an end game. After promising no new wars.

TAMPA, Fla. – Last night, a U.S. service member passed away from injuries received during the Iranian regime’s initial attacks across the Middle East. The service member was seriously wounded at the scene of an attack on U.S. troops in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia on March 1.

This is the seventh service member killed in action during Operation Epic Fury. Major combat operations continue. The identity of the fallen warrior will be withheld until 24 hours after next of kin notification.

The naming of a new ayatollah and it being the son pretty much was the worst news that could have happened. Yeah the Trump loyalists will probably say “well we just kill him too”. But this further proves that we are fighting a hydra and not a snake. Like I’ve said numerous times… there really was no plan B for if this regime just named another guy. That goes for both sides (Iranian dissenters and the US backed forces) that are actively against the regime. If the regime didn’t crumble under the hijab protests then anyone paying attention to Iran for the past decade shouldn’t have been surprised that a bombing campaign wouldn’t either. If anything it is making the regime more powerful in their control over Iran and will likely lead to more deliberate escalation even when this war eventually ends.

I think Trump pivots when he feels he can spin a victory. But again what will that look like. Iran has to project the same as well. The last conflict provided a clear off ramp with Israel and Iran being able to say they achieved a tactical victory. However this one is far messier since we just killed a head of state in what the regime says is an unprovoked attack. I think Trump’s unpopularity and the unpopularity of the war creates an even greater danger because he desperately needs a win before he can get off of this endeavor. Thankfully he doesn’t have the same problems like Putin currently does with Ukraine in that regard… yet. But a ME spiraling out of control is not good for his “peace in the ME” mantra. So I fear the 2-4 weeks proclamation isn’t holding water. The only way to remove the regime is by time or direct intervention. Neither seem to be options seriously considered by our current administration. The latter is far more troubling if they start to seriously consider that as the primary goal.

Things we know now:

1) the regime very much is stronger than what most Americans were led to believe

2) the Iron Dome isn’t as great as we were led to believe

3) Iranian drones are easily replaceable in a short amount of time

4) the US’s best military campaign since WWII is the war in Yugoslavia.

I fear bin Laden and Ho Chi Minh were correct in that you can’t beat the US army in battle but you can exhaust their people and economy with time.
