This tracks with my observations about his behavior/antics during games. I've thought many times that he acts very immature to be such a high profile player.

Concerning Holloway, I doubt we ever see him in Crimson again. And if he can portal to another school as if this didn't happen (assume he pleas it down) this is another reason the portal is what is wrong with college sports)!!!

As for NIL and the players making money, I think they deserve that, but immature college kids don't need to be millionaires! They are not mature enough to manage that kind of money. If I was "put in charge," I'd make it so that most of it had to go into an investment fund or trust fund for when they left college athletics.

They don't need much money. The school feeds them, clothes them, houses them and doctors them on top of paying for their schooling. What do they even money for? Buying weed?

It's obviously my opinion.

But having been a part of a juco and NAIA basketball teams over 30 years ago, if I didn't have time to spend any money and if my needs were taken care of then (food, clothing and shelter), giving a kid that much money is just a recipe for disaster.

Again, my opinion.

Note that I said I'm "for" them making NIL money, but I think it should be distributed differently.

I can't disagree with any of that. However, most teams with an alpha have an unhappy beta. This team seems to be very close and compatible. (Hope it's not because they're getting stoned together every night.)

Multiple guys partake religiously. Anyone who is familiar with kids in this age group shouldn't be shocked but players should be held to a higher standard.

As others have already said, it's Joseph Goodman. I'm not sure if he's a barner or not. He's certainly anti-Alabama. Late Add: I checked and he graduated from UAB. Don't know if he attended anywhere else.

For several reasons, I quit reading him long ago. First, he's obviously a click-bait writer and I don't like to feed trolls. Second, he's boring. His positions and logic are 1000% predictable. I gain no new perspectives and learn nothing from him. Third, he's an incredibly sanctimonious jerk.

I highly recommend avoiding anything he writes.

If you were 17 years old and you had unlimited funds and you knew a guy that could get you a case of Budweiser, if you had the money, wouldn’t you have bought 10 or 20 cases and stored them somewhere? A lot of 17-year-olds would make that conscious choice.

I wouldn’t, even at 17. I’m not the drinking or drugs type. I absolutely wouldn’t waste a golden goose of NIL for either.
