Yes, he was a legacy admission - but he wasn't half as dumb as people liked to think at the time, either.
He just never had the polish of his immediate predecessor (or the sex addiction but that's another issue altogether).
I guess my thing is......I've just never been impressed with the "book smart" argument and its evil twin "what college you attended," which may be why I don't see this as a particularly compelling argument on Vance.
I also think Vance is a lousy version of an attempt to be a cross between Bill Clinton and Donald Trump. What I mean is this: Clinton was pretty slick (hence the nickname Slick Willie) at positioning himself verbally on many issues where it sounded like he agreed with every single person. Vance is trying the "be everything to everyone" strategy - but mixed with Trump's "fake tough guy" persona offset by the fact Vance actually was in the Marine Corps and has thus compromised virtually every professed value he had.
Besides, being impressed by the Ivy League education should have ended with the current President.

Of course he is; this has been true for decades upon decades. He has been trademarking his name since the 80s and licensing it to different organizations and properties. See, this is how he makes most of his money, not through true real estate deals. Most of "his" buildings are not ones he owns or built; they just license the use of his name.

First amendment issue? Nonsense. I think the bigger issue is that I don't see how the Executive can withhold funding passed by the Legislative branch (unless I'm missing something.)
EDIT: after doing some digging, it's clear that congress also pulled their funding, so never mind. Goodbye and good riddance.

Nope. The delicate balance between chaos and order seems to rely heavily on the unfounded belief that most court decisions can be forcibly upheld. Pretty sure I have teleported before. I have rucked and my watch says only 4 miles when I know the distance is more, so obviously I teleported the missing half mile.
