White House Correspondents' Dinner 2026 shooting disruption

I’m not referencing the people vs the government - if you don’t think a bunch of sitting dems wouldn’t be killed in response then you aren’t paying attention to maga.

Well there was a conspiracy to kidnap the Michigan governor, assassinations of Minnesota lawmakers, the assault against the SOTH husband, and the storming of the capitol.

The truth about the Trump assassination attempts are that they are not as near as uncommon as one might think. The FBI foils hundreds of these a week. The only uncommon thing is how visible Trump makes himself compared to other presidents. With a bad body guard group like the secret service it is just a matter of time before some idiot has the opportunity, capability, and intent to be in position to take a shot. I’m in no way condoning any of this but Trump really does himself no favors by having a constant speaking engagement tour and constantly picking places where the public has too much access to the president.

Don't forget the attempted murder of Josh Shapiro and family with the firebombing of the Governor's mansion in Penn.

That's a pretty bold claim. I assume you do not work for the FBI or the SS so can you please share links or documentation for that claim.

You know, I'm beginning to suspect (just SUSPECT, mind you) that the people who are funding the KKK and trying to assassinate presidents aren't the good guys. Or maybe there are no good guys and I'm just witnessing a nation of idiots duke it out in a race to the bottom.

How about you find evidence to refute it
To be fair, one making claims needs to support said claims rather than demanding someone refute them.

While I'm certain there are lots of people who are intersected by law enforcement over threats to a sitting POTUS, we've never seen this level of unhinged hatred from either side.

Following the attempted assassination of Donald Trump at the White House Correspondents' Dinner, shooter Cole Tomas Allen’s sister, Avriana Allen, revealed new details.

She linked him to the protest group “The Wide Awakes” and said he had attended “No Kings” anti-Trump protest in California.

She described him as increasingly radical and obsessed with “fixing” the world’s problems.

Avriana confirmed he bought two handguns and a shotgun, hid them at their parents’ home in Maryland, and regularly practiced at shooting ranges.

Yep, and in the cognitive dissonance of the red hat wearing brigade, the guy carrying the MAGA manifesto who murdered the Minnesota lawmakers was actually hired by Tim Walz to off people and caused his own party to lose power.

And oh yes, the Capitol Riot was either Antifa or a field trip that got out of hand or something.

The man has wives who are disposable, and yet there is a group of mentally ill, hateful, faux conservatives who - as has already been testified here - are willing to go to war for this maniac.

As far as the pedo accusation, Trump is the one who dangled the Epstein files before us, and he is the one who promised to release them. The only reason - using Maga logic - he doesn’t release them is because he is in them.

I have no problem, calling a rapist or rapist, and whether Maga likes it or not, he was found guilty by a jury, plain and simple. He absolutely is a convicted felon and a rapist, and I don’t think it’s fair to say that that’s escalating rhetoric when it happens to be true.

Yup, agreed, which is why I didn't mention it.

But the far-left has been trumpeting trump as a treasonous fascist who rapes children. It's everywhere on social media / podcasts from the left - one cannot expect to continually call someone a threat to the country and not expect some of the unhinged among us to act out.

And I'm not suggesting the right hasn't had it's issues - but over the last two years the left has ramped up the rhetoric to insane levels, then they act like 'we didn't mean it' or they suggest trump deserves it because 'orangemanbad'.

I'm not maga, and I don't understand the cult-like dismissiveness of some of Trump's actions that I see among his hardcore supporters, but you don't have to be Pepperidge Farms or you, Selma, to remember the aghast reaction from the left to anything that could be twisted into being considered inflammatory and dangerous, yet here we are with near constant posts on social media wishing for the death of the POTUS and much of his cabinet.

The hatred is going to boil over and the reaction will be far worse.

Generally I would provide the information, but how it was phrased is why I didn’t.

But generally speaking the FBI responds to numerous credible threats against the president a year. It was as high as 3k a year reported under Bush and Obama. I would assume it’s higher with Trump. But why we don’t hear about them is because no president between Kennedy and Trump ever made so many impromptu or open/connected venue engagements as Trump. You give a mad man an easy route to a president then he is liable to take it.

As far as unhinged assassination attempts idk. Ford and Bush got a ton. Heck the guy who shot Wallace only shot him because Ford last minute changed his itinerary.

Are you suggesting this was some sort of false flag to distract people?

I think the tenor of the thread is such because the radical left has shown itself to be inclined to political violence.
Remind me of the last time thousands of the radical left stormed the Capitol to overthrow an election.
We can do without radical anything.

This is sadly reminiscent of the waning days of the Roman Republic.
One by one the bands that tied society together was cut. The norms and standards of conduct (intended to moderate political conflict) were violated, and cast aside, and the political conflicts because more intense in terms of both ends and ways (succeeding oneself in office, exile for one's opponents, the proscription, ignoring terms of office, Sulla dictator for three years, Caesar dictator for life).
In the end, the Republic could not survive in such a climate.
Nobody set out to destroy the Republic, but the Republic was nevertheless destroyed.

By the time Caligula became emperor, most Romans were saying to themselves, "You know, that old Republic was better than what we have now. Maybe we should have fought harder to keep it."

I get it, but they didn't kill anyone. Not excusing the Capitol attack, but there's little question that in the last two years the far-left has become unhinged relative to the far-right when discussing political violence.

NEW YORK — Following the Biden DOJ’s lead and citing a “clear pattern of evading accountability,” Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg announced Monday that his office is bringing fresh criminal charges against President Donald J. Trump related to the president’s persistent habit of not being assassinated.

“Mr. Trump has now survived multiple documented attempts on his life with a consistency that this office finds deeply concerning,” Bragg said during a brief press availability outside the Manhattan Criminal Courthouse. “New Yorkers expect equal justice under the law. Repeatedly failing to become a victim undermines public confidence in the process.”

In a related development, local stationery suppliers reported brisk sales of “Thoughts and Prayers… Or Whatever” cards, and several progressive legal commentators praised Bragg for “finally addressing the real victims: the storylines.”
