I have been a member of Tidefans.com for a almost a month now and everybody as I get on here I see the mods and other users talking to each other like they have known each other forever, and I kind of feel lost...lol...So I figured I would make a thread so that we all are able to introduce ourself. So I'll start off my name is Mark and I'm from Opelika....

RTR!

Hello Mark, Wellcome to the board.

One of the first things you are about to find out about is having your Thread moved. You see this is the football forum. Your thread belongs on the non-sports board. We only have room for football on this board.

You will also find out about teaser titles and teaser threads. On this forum you are required to state exactly what your thead is about. Usually that will take more than two words.

Hope you have a great time on this board.

James

I'm really sorry if this is a teaser thread.. I really didn't know that I couldn't post this on here.. Mods you can delete this thread if it isn't supposed to be here.. I didn't know..

Mark,
I'm your GodFather. I'm not telling you where I'm from and I'm not telling you how long I been here (I ain't comftable wit dis widness protecting thing). I have a concrete business and co-own many businesses throughout the BamaNation, even a few close to Opelika.

You keep the Godfather happy (with plenty of stuffed envelopes) and who knows you could become a friend of ours. Get that pinky finger ready. :cool2:

Welcome to La Famiglia, La Bama Nostra, the BamaNation!

Don't worry. I'm just messing with you. We have all gone through having a thread deleted, locked or moved. It is one of the learning experences you get to go through. That is what makes you part of the family. Everybody handles it differently.

I don't think it's a teaser ... the title is pretty descriptive.

Don't read too much into the first-name-basis posts ... most of us don't know most of the rest of us except on the board ... and most of the first name stuff has to do with the moderators. You learn pretty quickly, for instance, that TIDE-HSV is Earle (not Earl). :)

That said, I'm Mark, too ... from Pell City ... nice to meet you.

Hey Mark~
Don't worry, when the thread gets moved, folks will still be able to respond to it.

There are some old-timers on this board who know each other's names and have quite a history with each other. The rest of us jump in and enjoy the ride and most of us don't know squat about other posters.

I'm Staci. Been a member for a couple of years and thoroughly enjoy the few minutes each day I can read posts and respond when I feel I have something intelligent to contribute.:cool2:

Anyway, I'm one of the few ladies who post around here (it's definitely a men's club sort of place, but I don't mind).

Welcome aboard and post often. Any questions or concerns you have, don't hesitate to email or private message one of the mods and they'll be happy to help you out. They're a great bunch of guys...real approachable and such.

hey mark
im Matt from GORDO, AL (lets keep the snickers to a minimum please) i currently reside way up nawth by the canadian border, in fact i can see the canadian border across the lake from my back porch. But i still love alabama football, and this is the best place ive found to get the info

The name is Will, don't let the screen name fool you. Born and raised in GA always been a BAMA fan though, went to school at UA and am back in Georgia. RTR.

I'm Scott, from the suburbs of St. Louis, Missouri. I'm a huge Bama fan, even though I fall into the category of living in the best baseball city in the word (which is great) and I never went to Alabama. I can certainly thank my dad when it comes to Alabama football. His favorite player was and still is Kenny Stabler. Basically The Snake has brainwashed my dad to love the Tide. Now my dad has brainwashed me. Looks like we'll be having my younger brother enrolled to U. of Alabama campus this upcoming fall after bringing him to Tuscaloosa for the first time for the Hawaii game this past year. Now, I'm working on my wife which I happened to be the one who started the "How to make my wife an Alabama fan" post :biggrin2: :biggrin2:

My dad and I started doing the tradition of going to Alabama football games in 2005 (after I graduated from college). Went to 3 games in 2005, and 4 games last year. Now, I'm hoping to land Tide Pride tickets for this upcoming year, cause I've had enough of Ebay as that is hurting this poor, recently married guy here:rolleye2:

From all the way back here in the Show Me State, here is a ROLL TIDE ROLL for you all!!!

Shane----------------Sylacauga

I'm pretty new here also. Great source of info and daily humor!!!! Just don't do like me and lose a lot of productivity at work reading everything!!!!

My name is Rich. People will tell you I am from Hades and my first cousin is the Devil. I am old, cantankerous and set in my ways. When the weather is bad my joints ache and I take it out on anyone who looks dumb enough to put up with it. The rest of the time I try to be helpful to all, just don't ask me too many software questions. I am one of the guys you report people to and I make them sit in the corner or maybe the Godfather pays them a visit. I can be your best friend or worst enemy sometimes both in the same day.

Visit our other forums and click some ads dadgumit.

Yay first post...
Pretty recent alum here, still living in the state. Roberto is the name and Montgomery... the gump... is where I stay. Been reading this forum for a while, decided to finally get off my lazy bum and join so I can partake in the delightful sometimes crazy thought-sharing.:biggrin2:

Bill, here, though people think my name is Tim (the initials for TiderinMiss are TiM ;) ).

Don't feel bad. Over time, you develop some relationships, conversation, etc. This board has grown leaps and bounds and been through four coaching changes since I joined in 2000.

Just feel free to jump in and start a conversation. :)

Hi y'all.
I'm bob from earle...errr huntsville. I grew up watching "The Bear" from Georgia and got a lot of grief from Dooley's dogs because of it. After school I moved back home and have been a huge Bama Homer ever since. I lucked onto this sight a couple months ago right after the Shula Regime ended. Have been a constant reader and sometime poster ever since. You'll find a lot of intelligent (footballwise anyway) people on this board, and will definitely leave it with a better understanding of our Crimson Pride. Welcome and Roll Tide.

P.S. Don't forget to read the posting rules, especially the ones concerning coach Bryant. That'll get the Godfather on you in a hurry.
