I heard about this article today and the first thing I thought about was emailing this guy. But I decided not to because thats exactly what he wants....Attention. What really ticked me off was the way he was attacking the fans, alumni, and administration. :mad: I dislike alot of teams and a few of their fans but still do not talk about their entire fanbase like that. Every fanbase has a few irritating fans. This guy is a loser and reguardless who he is a fan of, should not talk about people like that. Somebody needs to teach this guy about class. I used to like the Cowherd Show, but ever since the coaching search began, he has bashed Alabama as well. Therefore, I will never listen to his show again because of his comments directed towards Alabama and this producer who is a classless hack. Whew...now that I have that off my chest...

Well said! People like this are looking for a reaction and it kills them when they don't get one. If we ignore these people, eventually they will move on to another topic. They won't need a new subject if people continue providing reasons for them to stay on the current one, which right now is bashing Alabama and Nick Saban.

Not only have I taken to ignoring them, I have decided that I only turn on ESPN for a live NFL or college football game. When I want to watch it to see scores or something, I MUTE the danged sound and watch the bottom line rolling across the TV screen. I never watch any of their other puke talking heads and programs anyway. They are all only trying to out do the other for loud mouth face time. I cannot stand, simply cannot stand that thug from "tha U" Michael Irving. I am sick of 99.9% of their mouths and have sworn off ESPN. You hurt them when you don't watch them. Not by sending him an e-mail that the can splash on the TV and say "hey folks, look, more Alabama rednecks." You are just playing his game. Ignore them. Don't watch their puking programs.

I have friends in the business who have received calls and resumes in the last few weeks from this moron. He says he wants to get back to Alabama and become an on air personality. Colan ******* is one of ESPN's top paid on air personalities and his ratings are not backing up the salary. I'll leave it at that since some folks around here know I have a few friends working at ESPN. I wouldn't want them to get into trouble. ;)

CHARACTER??? A man with character doesn't call a man Satan, or coward, or liar in public. If you want to see character, look at Wayne Huizenga. He is the man that hired Nick Saban. He went to LSU and had to beg him to leave the Tigers to go to Miami. Nick Saban met face to face with Huizenga and told him "If you want me to stay, I'll stay", but Huizenga saw into Saban's heart and knew he didn't enjoy pro football as much as he thought he would. He's the only one with the right to call any names at all, but in the end he didn't. That's character. Then WH proclaimed himself a "Nick Saban Fan." That's character. You don't have a clue.

As for the football team, I think Saban wanted Drew Brees for his QB, but was told by someone in the organization that there was "NO WAY" that Brees would be able to play this year, and that's why Duante Culpepper played this year. Why don't you print that? Seems like you're a liar too for not printing the whole truth. Your Auburn colors are shining through, and that's the real truth. You haven't got a clue as to character. When Saban left MSU to go to LSU in the middle of a contract did you call him a coward or a liar then? The answer is no because that was in Louisiana and not in Alabama where you're beloved Auburn is. I bet this email never makes it into print either because it's the real truth.
 
I did send him an email. This is a part of what he wrote: "He is a liar and a coward and a quitter and maybe by being all of those things, that will put him in good standing with Alabama fans because I lived in Alabama for 10 years and I've never met a bigger group of narrow-minded, ignorant, boastful, obnoxious jerks in my life. I'm painting with a broad brush here and I have every intention to. I've met dozens of Bama fans and alumni and the honest, decent, moral, trustworthy ones I could probably count on one hand".This is a small sample from my eamil: Your verbal attack on innocent people is not character. I believe it is unethical, dishonorable and wrong. The next time you drive by a National Cemetery I ask you to think about all the narrow-minded, ignorant, boastful, obnoxious jerks (Alabama fans) that have given their life for your freedom. The next time you sit down with your family at dinner time or to watch a movie I want you to think about all the narrow-minded, ignorant, boastful, obnoxious jerks (Alabama fans) that can't be with their families because they are standing between you and anything or anybody that would take away freedom and liberties from you and your family that you so enjoy. All these great Americans volunteered to serve their country. Sir, that is called character, commitment, sacrifice, loyalty and selfless service. (end) I am deeply offended because my fellow soldiers that sacrifice everyday or have paid the ultimate sacrifice do not deserve to have their character assassinated just because they happen to be Alabama fans! I am probably a little over the top but I couldn't help myself. I am a long time member of BamaMag.com. I have just recently started to check out this site. Very nice. I hope he is unemployed in short order, struggling to find money to eat at Taco Bell
 
Let him say what he's got to say.

He's just a fool with a pen and he's in pain because no matter what he says, no matter how many hateful perjoratives that he uses to label the Bama fanbase and administration, Auburn's fortunes are sure to wane.

People like him and Cowherd are living in a fantasy land. Do they think that because they criticize Alabama and Saban, that it's going to make any difference? We in Alabama are so accustomed to being degraded and being the butt of jokes that we are immune. The only thing that these writers are doing is killing their credibility amongst intelligent and objective readers.

One of two things will happen:

1.) This guy will eventually let reality sink in and realize that he is only hurting himself with these rants and he'll move on.

2.) He won't move on, he'll continue to let the hate and despair eat away at him and he'll end up writing about high school sports in some little town in South Alabama.

Regardless of how great he thinks himself to be, he's not going to affect Saban's attempt to put Bama back at the top of the college football world. In the end, Saban is one of the top coaches in college football and this guy is just a widely unknown guy with an ego, psychosis and a pen.

Lol, because what he said isn't presented as fact--a testament to the elevated level of crappitude of the articles people like him write.
 
I am very offended by his stereotype of Alabama fans. I can't believe that this person would spew so much hate. RTR!
