Congratulations on CNS; questions for Tide fans regarding the future

Dont worry, I dont take it as a snap answer. I usually respond short and sweet at the UT site I frequent. I am posting unusually long here to try to make my entrance as smooth as possible. I dont want to rock the boat, so to speak. Well maybe just a little. I have not seen JPW play much. Some people say he is good while others say he is not good. I dont know. I just wanted yall's opinion.

He will be one of the top QB's in the SEC. He is NFL bound after his senior year.

ESPNU.com has JPW ranked number #7 in the country. The only other QB in the Top 10 from the SEC was Georgia's QB.

Rankiings do not make a QB its what they offer that is important. JPW offers leadership and determination which equals wins. :BigA:

I think JPW will be in the top 5 in the SEC - I do not think he will have to win the games on his own just not do the things that get you beat.

I don't agree with the #7 QB in the country ranking but time well tell - I don't think he will be top 10 QB in the country based on stats but I think he is a winner. I hope he is one of the best but I don't see that yet

I think the team will do well - I am not concerned with The Vols right now

vol fan, your comment about our QB raises some questions.

He was only a sophomre behind a young OL.

He set Bama passing records.

A young cordinator has been researched and hired.

A proven tougher head Coach with a proven system has taken over.

So what have you heard might be incorrect.

Let the games be played and good luck.

I said as much when I said I did not know. Good luck to you guys as well.

Lets not get all touchy guys. I am just asking legitimate questions.

Here is a legitimate question for you. How many Krispy Kreame's does it take to fill up CPF? :biggrin2:

Seriously, TN was always a favored SEC team for me. Loved the way they played on D and that checkerboard endzone. Enjoy the board and Roll Tide.

Probably enough to keep Krispy Kreme open in Knoxville even if he is the only customer. I will try to enjoy the board. Go Vols! :biggrin2:

I have heard rumblings around other sites that say your QB JPW will not pan out the way he is being touted.

Stay away from the auburn message boards. They can be very confusing to the intelligent mind.

To many Bama fans, a VolsFan translates to a FulmerFan, and postings from said fans will be taken skeptically until folks get used to them. Keep posting legitimate info and questions, and you will be accepted with the same hospitality offered to the non-trashtalking LSU fans who post here. This is a good site for football fans. Our mods keep it that way.

I see alot of you view our troubles being discipline related. I guess I will have to agree for the most part. I dont see Phil changing too much in that area. I also believe that most programs around the country suffer this same fault. Some get more press than others. Of course any SEC team will get press over troubled players. IMO this is just the rest of the nation trying to beat down college football's superior conference. I think we can all agree that the SEC reigns supreme in college football. With UT's recent success in basketball, along with the rest of the conference (especially UF's recent NCs and UK having a new coach) we (meaning the SEC) will soon possibly take the basketball world by it cajones too. Back to football. I have heard rumblings around other sites that say your QB JPW will not pan out the way he is being touted. What are your thoughts or concerns there?

The rumblings on other sites about JPW is wishful thinking IMO. If there is one position where I have little worries it is our starting QB. JPW broke Brodie Croyle's HS records and is breaking his college records. I expect him to break some of our rival's hearts over the next two seasons as he guides the Tide to some exciting victories.

I have heard rumblings along these lines on sports talk radio here in Charlotte. I don't feel like these Charlotte-based radio personalities are very informed when talking Bama football, but the opinion that JPW is a weak link is not relegated to Bama's rivals' websites. I disagree with the opinion that JPW is a weakness waiting to be exploited. From watching him last season, I am convinced that he has the talent, the leadership, and most importantly, the competitivness to take Bama to the next level, at least the level to compete for the SEC championship. He had great moments last year, and he had what seemed like those bonehead, sophomore, first year starter moments as well, but I thought that his low moments were more the result of weak O-line play combined with ineffective play calling/coaching. I am excited about JPW playing in CMA's offense. I think that the Bama offense will surprise alot of people, even some Bama fans. We'll see.

How about Ainge? Is he getting healthy? How do you expect him to perform in the no-huddle offense that I've heard Cutcliffe is installing?

FOFLOL, Bayou! I knew if I kept trolling you'd make my day again!:biggrin2: This must be Post of Year...or runner up for S.N.A.S.S.! Roll Tide!:BigA:

I love a snappy quote. A few more of the ones I like.

I know God won't give me more than I can handle. I just wish He didn't trust me so much.

Going to church doesn't make you a Christian any more than standing in a garage makes you a car.

If you look like your passport picture, you definitely need the trip.

There is always one more imbecile than you counted on.

And just for you Tide Tales - If the shoe fits buy it in every color.

Sorry to have hijacked this thread.

From what I have read and heard, Ainge will be ready to go. As for the no-huddle, well your guess is as good as mine. I think it wil be okay
