Has anyone heard anything about Star Jackson's visit to Bama? How did it go...etc. Also is there any truth that he's looking to commit somewhere soon, or is he probably gonna be a later commit?

He is quoted on Rivals as saying he enjoyed working with Applewhite and Alabama's offensive system/scheme......whatever we have now???

based on relationship with a coaching staff, we've got the edge. This is why I was so glad to hear that he was going to make it for one day and fly out of Bham. He got to grow with CMA and talk the new offense. Bama +1, IMHO.

I think he'll choose Bama and I certainly hope it's sooner rather than later. He'd be a big pickup at this point in time.

yeah lots of rumor and speculation going on today about Star, on dang near every board I've been to and even some people I talked to. It's like a wildfire in the middle of a drought :biggrin:

Has anyone heard anything about a rapport being developed between Star Jackson and Julio Jones? I haven't, but I am hoping that getting a commitment from Jackson (which sounds promising) will help us with Jones.

The name Starr is very familiar with some of the older fans on here. I wasn't around when he played for us but do remember some about him from his days with the Packers! I would most certainly like to have another Star QB to cheer for!:biggrin2:

Is it just me or does anyone else think this kid is just getting by on sheer talent? As good as he looks, I think he would really blossom with some good coaching, sort of a diamond in the rough.

Oops, didn't quite mean it that way. What I meant was that he's accomplishing amazing things just with raw talent. I have to believe that Coach Applewhite is probably drooling over the possibilites with Star.

That was my first reaction when I saw his video...not very polished but wow what "upside." It looks like he has excellent touch already though...reminds me a little of Vince Young with a weird throwing motion but always puts it on the money.

Great pocket presence for high school quarterback. I like his vision, his ability to step out of the pocket and throw, and looking carefully at the video his footwork. With a great qb such as MA, he can develop the arm into a powerful weapon.
