Dude.... While it is only Western Carolina, I would expect Saban to go deep into the depth charts to see how backups play. If Western Carolina scores 3 on our first string, 3 on our second string, and then a TD on the band/ waterboys..... it ain't no big deal. This game isn't about the score as long as we win and find some quality backups)!!!!

Western Carolina is a bad 1-AA football team. Last year they put up double digits in less than half of their football games. This opponent is really weak. I expect Coach Saban to go deep also. However, I expect our bench players to be more talented than most of the Catamounts. I have no worries about the ultimate outcome. It will be a win.

Well I guess you three schools of thought here. First, as has already been mentioned, he will go deep into the bench to develop depth. Second, he might let the first team get a bunch of minutes to work the kinks out knowing that a road test against Vandy awaits. Or third, no matter who he plays he doesn't show too much so that Vandy and Ark. don't have much to look at. Who knows, he could open it up and blow them away but I doubt it.

I expect a total thrashing. It could be 70-0. But we won't play or coach with the same intensity for 4 quarters that we will have to do against Arkansas, UGA, or FSU.

The important thing is to avoid injury, play lots of bench players, and not just the last 4 minutes of the game. I would not expect to see a starter of ours on the field at any point, on either side of the ball, after halftime.

More than anything, it gets that first game of the Saban era out of the way, and helps us prepare for the rest of the season.
