On the way the defense played against Alabama …

“We stopped the run. I knew going into the last half of that game on the road at their place, Alabama wasn’t going to move the football. That punt return, we have to be better at that. That is one of the mistakes that we need to focus on, but the defense played pretty well"

What Les needs to worry about all the 2 miles of penalties his "so called" great team had against us....He's about as good as Shula at making decisions.....It's like he takes a dart and see what he hits....I do hope he stays at LSU so I can make fun of his HAT and the way he speaks...kinda like a Robot...

lol I said we wouldn't be able to run on them very well either. Who cares though, ya know? They won. It's over.. Bleh.. On now to Michigan sir. Shoo! :)

Oh, you mean the idiot who with 4th and inches, an athletic 235 lb. QB, a stud power back and a massive O-line decides to show his coaching trickery and go with a trick play and has it all blow up in his stupid face?

This is getting a little ridiculous, don't you think? That "idiot" is now 3-0 against Bama including 1-0 against Nick Saban. He has a record of 30-5 at LSU. Saban has already lost 3 at Bama.

Why all the hate? Why all the constant criticism of LSU's coach? I thought you guys didn't care about LSU. This is just baffling.

I don't care but maybe you should go back to the LSU boards and ask them the same about hating Saban and we will take care of this. Thanks.

Just go back to eating your corndogs and get out of here. We do not need you here or any others of your kind. Comparing Miles and what Saban left him and what Shula left Saban is like comparing a pretty woman to a dog. I am thru sparring with your kind. Leave, go home or just leave... Get my drift.. The Tide doesn't want you here to disagree with something you obviously can not see...

Sorry for the vent fellow Tidfans but its time to kick these rival fans in the mouth with idiotic statements like the above. Shula and Saban no comparision..Get a life you rival fans..

He's no idiot. He's making skid marks to get out of LSU when the season is over. He has indeed won alot of games with some great players that he inherited. A monkey can get in a Ferrari and make it drive fast. It's a Ferrari.

I have no idea who you are but when you dissect time frames to feel better about LSU then you just sound like a Barner.. The fact is, that while we've been down due to the reasons that you already know, you and the rest of the litter have had some success. No doubt and congrats.

The facts are here though...

1.) We aren't on probation anymore.

2.) LSU will be coach hunting next year because yet again they have been used as a stepping stone for better things.

3.) The best coach in the conference is at one of LSU's biggest rivals (not ours)..

4.) Coaching changes at LSU and better opportunities HURT recruiting. So yeah... I can see why there was so much anger building. That talent pool is about to take a major hit.

Look at it like this... It was a nice ride for a while right?. Saban brought you guys a NC and got ya some better stuff for campus. Be happy man.

Perhaps Dinardo or whatever he was can lend a helping hand... Ho hum. :)

You guys are funny. :)

Why all the anger? I have no problem with coming here and saying that Bama is doing really well and you have a great coach who will lead you to great things. But, I'm not afraid of Bama just like I haven't been afraid of Auburn or Florida over the past few years - even when they beat us. That happens. But, we come back and beat them the next year. I expect the same type of rivalry with Bama. That's life in the SEC. Bama doesn't have to be bad for LSU to be good and I really don't think that LSU is going anywhere, despite the prognostications and fondest wishes of the media in this state.

Coach Miles has proven that he can coach top talent, hire great assistants, and win big games. As long as he keeps recruiting Louisiana, we'll be loaded with talent, so I expect more of the same. If he leaves, we'll hire someone else who can do the job. I don't think that we'll have a problem with highly qualified candidates.

Here's to many more great games in the future!

Great to know you come to an ALABAMA board to spread the LSU propaganda especially the part about "Bama doesn't have to be bad for LSU to be good." Now will you please leave and go away???...Don't go away mad, just go away...

21, all these guys can and do read LSU boards. And Miles' remarks have been every bit as abrasive as Nick's, if not more so. I think it's just a cumulative effect. Bama's played at a tremendous disadvantage vis a vis LSU and the rest of the west, owing to the sanctions and then lackluster coaching the last several years. Miles is going to be the point of sharp remarks for another couple of years, until he can prove that he can continue Saban's recruiting (so far, so good), and he can handle it. And he has to hang around and not abandon LSU at the first opportunity. He applied for the HC job at Bama the last three openings. That's not a very good omen of things to come. The same can be said of Saban's mobility, so each fan base can yell the same predictions at each other. I think CLM is a competent coach. I think Saban wouldn't have lost the five at LSU, had he stayed, that Les has. I also think that, had the coaching staffs changed sides of the field, we would have been beaten by three TDs, at least. The presence of Miles on one side and Saban on the other held the line to 7, instead of 21 (#3 against #17, remember). Also, the presence of Miles on one side and Saban on the other held the final margin to only seven - and it could have gone the other way. Bottom line, Miles has miles more to go and prove (couldn't resist the pun) than Saban has - ALREADY. Therefore, it is profitless to come on this site and rail at the lack of respect Miles receives. He's not receiving it from many other quarters - not just here. We should have been run out the end of the stadium, to borrow an old Bear quote. We weren't. I look forward to seeing guys in crimson and white who look like the giants in purple and gold that Saban recruited...

I gotta ask T-HSV, are you saying that CNS would be 35-0 in the last 2.75 seasons had he stayed at LSU???:conf3:

I'm not gonna say anything bad about CNS...nor has 21 to my knowledge. But the thread title is why he asked about the anger. Even the first few BAMA fans that replied to this thread thought Les had it "pegged" with his statements after the game. He said nothing derogatory that I read or heard.

Here's my drunken opinion. There are a lot of bama fans that don't like Les Miles and there are a lot of LSU fans that don't like Nick Saban. The "reasons", "statistics", "facts" etc. are nothing more than window dressing. It has nothing to do with it. Some folks just don't like other folks and there ain't much you can say or do to change that. So why doesn't everyone just get it out in the open. Let's all say it together and move on

LSU FANS: "I DON'T LIKE NICK SABAN AND NEVER WILL."

BAMA FANS:"I DON'T LIKE LES MILES AND NEVER WILL."

Now, doesn't everybody feel better? So now there's no need for giving reasons because there are none. We just don't like each other. But we can still be friends. :PDT_Aliboronz_20:

Good points, Tide-HSV. I don't expect Bama fans to respect Les Miles. That would be asking too much, I guess. There's no real point in arguing this, except, I will say that Saban would not be sitting on a 35 game winning streak right now. If he had not lost the games that Miles lost, he would have lost others. The team's performance in 2004, Saban's 5th season, proves that.

Anyway, a clear Bama perspective on the future of the LSU program has evolved and you articulated it well. I don't agree with it, but I am an LSU fan. I've enjoyed posting on this board and talking football with you guys, so I'll leave you to your own opinions on the Saban-Miles issue and let it drop.

Fortunately, the two teams decide all of this on the field once a year.
