has anybody seen any highlights of his? i cant find any on the internet. if anybody has some, plz post a link. if not, describe his running style and predict whether or not he could be effective in college. he is rated fairly low on the recruiting sites (i.E.) 3 star on rivals,2 star on scout

One poster who seems to know has him running a 4.47 at the scout new orleans combine. The same poster has him around 215lbs. and was described as the bruising back CNS wants to move the chains. He also mentioned he was told that BB was now no.1 on the rb chart. Take all this information with a grain of salt, and I am in no way passing this as the truth, just what I have read.

He is down to Ole Miss and Alabama. CNS offered him at the summer camp, which is very impressive.

While we were at the lsu game Brandon weighed in at 217lbs. Very impressive muscular build. Could easily add 10 to 15 lbs. The 4.47 came from Brandon. He stated he was clocked at the Alabama camp at this time and not the New Orleans combine. He indicated that the players invited to the new orleans camp were clocked on a wet soccer field and therefore did not reflect his actual best time.
I was standing outside the door on the 2nd floor of the Sheraton while Brandon and his mom and dad met with CNS. While this meeting was going on Coach Burns was telling us how high the staff were with BB. They really appreciated his size, speed, and ability to catch the ball out of the backfield. According to Coach Burns these are the traits this staff was looking for.
I can tell you that CNS had a very frank and honest conversation about the weaknesses and strengths of our current backs. Basically that we had certain backs who had one or less of these strengths but no one who fulfilled all three. The staff seemed very impressed with B Bolden. Just as a little kicker - BB has a 3.3 GPA and all I heard him say all weekend was Yes Sir and No Sir when speaking to an adult.

Sounds like we really need this kid! Great person as well as a great football player.

The picture of Bolden on the front page of BOL gives you an idea of the kind of build Sellers is describing. He's very well put together. If he's as fast as he claims to be he'd be quite the pickup for us.

if he has such a great combination of speed and size, and all these other reasons for praise, then why is rated so low on the recruiting sites?

Recruits get overlooked. That slow 40 he got clocked at (on wet field) may have hurt him enough. DJ Hall, Demeco Ryans, Tyrone Prothro, Wallace Gilberry and other were 3 stars. A smart, disciplined kid with his build could be molded into anything we want.

I'm really not sure why BB has not recieved more star power. Is this a case of the national recruiting scene under evaluating a kid? I don't know, but our staff seems to be extremely high on Brandon. Nothing but positive input from Coach Burns and Applewhite. When its all said and done, I believe BB will turn out to be a Kareem Jackson. Someone who is under evaluated and overlooked until Bama pulls the trigger. JMO

Trust me, we want this kid, regardless of ranking.

Honestly, he isn't ranked higher because the recruiting sites don't have video of him. Rivals just now has a picture that shows his physique. He looks great.

The latest update I read said it would be a tough decision between OM and Bama. Any insight into his decision?

I want promise to know anything 100% but just a few tidbits I picked up on during and after the game. Just as all the other recruits were, Brandon was blown away by the tradition, the atmosphere, and the fan prescene at the game. It really made a tremendous impression to Brandon and his mom and dad that CNS made time available on game day to meet with him. This was a unofficial visit and Brandon stated under similiar circumstances that CLM did not meet him. This kid is just now starting to recieve calls from lsu but no offer at this point. I really never got the impression it was between Bama vs. ole miss. He enjoyed the ole miss camp but seemed enamored by Coach Saban and the process. The mom and dad were real big on ensuring a quality education for Brandon. Coach Saban eased their mind in this area by demonstrating how he had taken over lsu with a 26% graduation rate and when he left for Miami it was at 75%. Lastly on the way out stadium, his mother showed me her cell phone that Brandon had used during the game. He had changed the screen saver to read in big bold letter BAMA!!! I will make a call soon to see if there is a update but I really get the feeling that Brandon is waiting on a call from CNS and not the other way around.

Sellers,

Thanks for the update. Interesting if the staff think he's #1, that he's waiting on the committable offer. The Dec. 7th official visit may be a date to watch.

Also, don't forget that S. Alexander was a 2 or 3 star, was only offered by UK and Bama.

Bolden has said that he will make a decision in December.

Quote:

"I'll probably decide some time in December," Bolden said. "I'm visiting Ole Miss the weekend of Nov. 30 and then making an official trip to Alabama some time in early December."

BTW...A kid with great character means more than a 40 time IMHO

do you think BB could be even better than Preyear and Matchett, just underated because of a lack of film?
