I am ashamed! I pulled for Auburn!!!!!!

Sorry fellow TideFans. As much as I dislike Auburn, once that game got started I got to thinking: I would really like for anybody to beat Auburn, but if they lose, the conference loses and we lose. So, I found myself pulling for them. In fact, I find myself pulling for every SEC team in the bowls.

Could I say some "Hail Mary's" or do some other kind of penance to atone for my sin?
 
Confession is good for the soul, but not so much for the reputation.

Seriously, just messin' with you. I was pulling for Clemson, knowing that even if the boogs pulled it off, the consolation would be the SEC still being undefeated.

We had some friends over and at one point one of the announcers referenced the fact the anyone that could tell the au fans from the Clemson fans with all the orange in the stands was a better fan than he. I told my BIL that at least Clemson wore orange jerseys at home. The barn has maybe two stripes of orange on their entire uniform and their fans parade around in all orange like its their main color. Even their coaching staff has fell victim to the phenomenon. :conf2:

That is the ONLY consolation for the barn winning for me.

I also tend to pull for SEC teams in bowl games - only exception I guess would be a weird scenario where LSU had a chance to reach #1 if another SEC lost their game.

I'm not I pulled for the Barn as well and I am pulling for UThug to win as well as the rest of the SEC gives the conference more clout when it comes to chest thumping and recruiting outside the states of the SEC. Think Texas!
 
Is it just me...or did I miss the last 5 to 10 yrs. I haven't "pulled" for a SEC team since FL? and TN turned us in to the NZAA! We don't need the monitary help from any other schools, I think we have that covered. There is only one, ONE school to "pull" for now boys and girls, and I believe that all the SEC should be pullin' up their bootstraps. REAL TRADITION is about to show it's self in the SEC, and yes we will once again be that DOMINANT team! Because Saban said so.........lol.:cool:
 
I started to pull for them until the chop block. Then I was hoping Tommy Bowden would go on the field, pick up the defender's helmet who was victime of the cheam chop block, and hit Tuberville upside the head for teaching his players such dirty tricks.
 
I agree with you Dixiedawg, it is good for the SEC to win against out of conference schools. What good would it do for Bama to dominate the SEC if the SEC was considered a weak conference because they could not beat out of conference teams. Of course we want to get to the top of the SEC but we also want to get to the top nationally, that comes by being at the top of the best conference that wins against the other big conferences, not loose to the other big conferences. To be the best you need to beat the best not the least. Lets look at the big picture.

The only reason I sort of wanted Clemson to win is the experience that I've had with their fans. I've found them to be quite pleasant during game time. Of course the last game that I went to of there's was when Danny Ford was coach.

You should be ashamed...................SEC or not Autard is a dirty program that from what keeps coming up teaches dirty chop block techniques,and grads their players with honors in Soc. that can't even read or write!
