As a victim of armed robbery at my apartment last semester in Valdosta, (being woken up with a 40 cal in your face is not fun), I don't really feel sorry for him. If he did it, then I hope he gets what he deserves.

The victim/ witness will I.D. the offender and I'm sure there is no doubt about the idenity since he is a UA football player. Besides, how many 6'4 b/m's are on the UA campus? Much less walking around the rest of society?

If true I hate this for Elder and for the University. It is truly sad.

It is not the way one would want to see a scholarship against the 85 limit freed.

If true, I hate this for the students who were held up at gunpoint.

No matter how much "worse" anyone else's program is or seems to be, this one hurts. I am embarrassed, and I hope to never become so jaded that I would not be embarrassed by this kind of behavior. I still give JE the courtesy of assumption of innocence until proven guilty, but I would only be lying if I said I was hopeful.

If JE is guilty, we cannot disrespect the victims to the point of exonerating their assailant. And if he is guilty, we cannot show the complete lack of character necessary to in any way justify theft, or subvert justice.

I hope you're innocent, JE. I hope you're innocent. For it is more important for me to require that judgment and justice prevail, and that will preclude sympathy if you are guilty.

Horrible mistake by this young man. Hopefully he can take his punishment like a man and learn from this. Football is the least of his worries at the moment.

Right now I'm guessing CNS isn't the main thing on his mind. It was armed robbery two counts. It'll be a bit before he is walking the streets of anywhere again if convicted.

Someone asked what CPB would do... this isn't a boys will be boys moment. No one tolerates actions like that. I hate it even found it's way to the Campus.
