Surfer/RTO,

How many OL do you think we'll take in the next class?
Andrew Bone said 4-5
I would agree with that, 4 maybe 5 if they get the right five.
The four or five estimate looks to be the most plausible.

We will likely have at least two offensive line commitments in the next couple of weeks -- McKeller and Williams -- and we will get several others. Austin Long seems to be destined to commit to Alabama, and we are in the running for several more linemen, guys like Johnnie Farms, Alex Bullard, and Anthony Steen. Plus you also have to consider that D.J. Fluker may end up on the offensive line as well.

I imagine we get McKeller, Williams, and Long for sure, and then at least one of the trio of Farms / Bullard / Steen, and that will at least give us four offensive linemen.

At the very least we'll sign four, and if Fluker ends up on the offensive line, we may end up with as many as six.

My guess is that we see Fluker on the O-line regardless.
That is what a lot of observers are predicting. Fluker is a very good offensive lineman already. It wouldn't surprise me at all if he ended up on the offensive line.

Scout.com-Under Armour Mobile Combine
The Scout.com combine always attracts the nation’s elite talent. Chris Davenport, five-star defensive tackle from Mansfield, (La.), did not disappoint and fits the mold of former LSU Tiger Glenn Dorsey. He is big, athletic and quick. He suffered a bloody nose in the one-on-one drills after he and D.J. Fluker, Scout.com four-star defensive tackle from Foley, (Ala.), had some fun, competitive battles.

Fluker (6-7) is already a monster and still growing. One of the most amazing sights of the day was seeing Fluker’s size 22 shoe. The Alabama commitment suffered a shoulder injury during his junior season and was held out most of the day. He was eager to go through one-one-ones after a lot of words were exchanged.

Foley head coach Todd Watson gave the go ahead for his participation. Fluker worked as an offensive lineman rather than on the defense. He did well and may have found his money-maker position.

Would love to have seen that battle. Isn't Davenport a LSU lean?
