Blind Homeowner Captures Intruder

A blind homeowner used the wrestling skills he learned more than 30 years ago to overpower an intruder and hold the man at knifepoint until police arrived this morning.

Years ago a member of my church was chased down and given a traffic ticket by a bicycle cop.

My stepfather is legally blind. He is from New Zealand and is a former professional rugby player. While he may have lost his vision he still hasn't lost his strength. I guarantee you, if you got into his house and he got a hand on you, you will be going down. He is still strong as an ox at 59.

What I found humorous was not that the blind man had the physical strength to restrain the intruder, but that the intruder got caught. Surely you will agree that the intruder had a significant advantage in evading capture.
