This could be an entirely new offseason topic rather than white shoes, crimson pants, the BDS turf; a new poll for which razor you prefer, I can see it all now.I use the Mach III and plan to whether there's a BAMA Fusion razor or not.
I wouldn't say it is 100% up to them. It is 100% up to them iff that someone first requests the use of the licensed logo and is willing to pay the required price for its use. At that point, the decision is theirs.Whether or not someone has an officially licensed piece of merchandise is 100% up to two entities...The University of Alabama and the company we hire to handle our licensing rights.
BINGOFirst of all, don't blame Gillette. Whether or not someone has an officially licensed piece of merchandise is 100% up to two entities...The University of Alabama and the company we hire to handle our licensing rights. Gillette has either likely asked for and is awaiting permission to use Bama's logo or has asked for and been denied the rights to use our logo for a myriad of reasons...mostly financial in nature.
My guess is that they are awaiting approval to use the logo.
Unless or until you know why they don't have a Bama razor, you should tread lightly when suggesting a Boycott of a company.
Second BINGOI use the Mach III and plan to whether there's a BAMA Fusion razor or not.
this is noted and will be brought up next juneThis could be an entirely new offseason topic rather than white shoes, crimson pants, the BDS turf; a new poll for which razor you prefer, I can see it all now.
I have to agree. It is a bit silly to have everything you own with Alabama colors and logo on them. I should be shot for buying a blue and white toothbrush.I use the Mach III as well and I don't care if there is a Bama version or not. Even if they made one I wouldn't buy it, because i already have a razor.
As long as it ain't blue and arnge, you're okay with me BT.I have to agree. It is a bit silly to have everything you own with Alabama colors and logo on them. I should be shot for buying a blue and white toothbrush.

I had you figured for a closet Kentucky fan. For shame for shame.I have to agree. It is a bit silly to have everything you own with Alabama colors and logo on them. I should be shot for buying a blue and white toothbrush.![]()
Not to belabor the point but I believe that your point goes without saying with regard to my post. Obviously if someone doesn't request the licensing rights then all posts discussing the actions needed to attain the rights are then moot. I was taking the stance that they have requested and it now lies in the hands of our licensing entity. I forget who it is, but it used to be a company out of Atlanta. Years ago I actually dealt directly with our marketing department...man have things changed!I wouldn't say it is 100% up to them. It is 100% up to them iff that someone first requests the use of the licensed logo and is willing to pay the required price for its use. At that point, the decision is theirs.
Not all companies that sell NCAA officially licensed products are going to request the logos of all the schools. A national corporation such as Gillette is likely going to create products for perhaps the top 50 or so programs ranked by their share of licensed product sales. I'm quite sure that Alabama is in the top 50, so it is likely, as you stated, that Gillette has made the request and is just waiting.
that should go double for me. i have 2 toothbrushes (one electric and one regular) both are blue and whiteI have to agree. It is a bit silly to have everything you own with Alabama colors and logo on them. I should be shot for buying a blue and white toothbrush.
