100% agree. I'm not rescinding my support for the Tide until they lose on the field. Deliveryman, if you think like that then I'd hate to have you voting back in 92 cause we won alot of ugly games and some thought that a pretty winning Florida St that had 1 loss should have won the NC instead of us.



BTW I agree that Penn St prob gets moved ahead of us but I don't like it.
 
At least we know how our guys will react if they get behind in a game...

We STORMED down the field on our next possession to take that lead away from them.

I totally agree! They had just went for it on 4th down rather than kicking a FG because it wouldn't help. So then they turn around and line up to kick a FG 4 plays later? Come on everybody saw that coming except for the 11 players on the field and their coach apparently. If you watch the play again, the players were obviously not looking for the fake which the coach should have told them to be waiting on. Just one more example of our poor special team play. How many times did we run the ball out of the end zone rather than just taking the ball at the 20? Why do we struggle to cover kicks consistently? You have to be able to play in all three phases, and right now special teams is definitely the weakest of the three.

Danielson was talking all about "man defense" and how it's Saban's style to make the quarterback beat you in man instead of giving him zone to pick apart. This after some good tight coverage and some Snead incompletions.

Way I see it, if we win out (and we should) then there's nothing to worry about. If not, then our main focus should be on winning the SEC crown, and this would be an amazing accomplishment this season. Hell, winning the West would be a huge accomplishment from preseason expectations

This I agree on. They had no idea -- if they had, it was have easily been stopped.

Bama would have had my vote back in '92. But right now, we simply cannot seem to recapture the intensity and quality of play that we showed we are capable of in the first half of the UGA game. When the BCS polls start coming out, every point will matter.

I agree. I wasn't necessarily spouting my own beliefs, but rather what we'll probably be hearing from here on out (especially with the BCS standings coming out tomorrow).

I still liked it better in the old days when a win was a win, and you didn't have a nation/media enamored with teams like USC.

We didn't play zone through the entire game, and we struggled when we did...
 
What Bama is doing to teams to start the game is what teams are doing to Bama to start the 2nd half. Bama always elects to receive the ball to begin the game, and we use that to try and score early, get ahead, and set the tempo. Now, when Bama has to kickoff to begin the 2nd half, the opposing teams are driving the ball and scoring to begin the half (it doesn't help when you give up a big return to open the half). Our opponents are setting the tempo and gaining momentum by coming out and driving to open the 2nd half. All the while, our O is sitting and watching. We are tight after the half, and CNS has got to figure out how to change that. Every SEC team we face from now on is going to have a great D-line that can shut down the run and rush the passer. And those teams also have very good secondaries that can make us pay. Its about to become a dogfight in every game until the end of the season.

Actually, we did....

Marquis Johnson held his outside lane....he just got lazy and trotted upfield past the play.... along with our safeties not reacting, it was an easy TD....

CNS was screaming something along the lines of "we told you the fake was coming"....FAKE was obvious from lip-reading.

Just like I didn't think Texas deserved to jump us last week. But given the way we played in the second half today, there's no way I would put us ahead of Texas.

OU showed today how to take care of business against a very good and ranked Kansas team. Right now they are playing better than we are. JMO

Yes. I agree. I hate that we can't seem to get over that 3rd quarter thing. I do believe though that today seemed to be the Cody getting hurt thing. We played badly from that point on. When he went out I said I hope he's OK and I said to my wife that I am afraid that the players are going to be focused on what just happened the rest of the game. If Cody is out the rest of the season, I think it will affect the whole team just like when protho went out. I think he is this teams identity and has step up as a leader. I hope I'm wrong.



BTW, I didn't mean to slam you so hard with that comment earlier, I am just irked at all the negativity and our ranking.
