Phillip Fulmer's Job Future?

I have heard that he wanted an interview at clemson, despite the wishes of his family to stay in the K'town area. Don't think it went anywhere, though. His desire though, seems to be to coach again.

I hope his future is at Krispy Kreme.

I cannot stand him. He disgusts me. I loath him. He is scum. At the risk of being permanently banned from Tide Fans I will cut my comments off there (and imagine what comments you would have to make about Phat Phil to be banned here on Tide Fans).

LOL, I was going to say his new job will be Krispy Kreme's new mascot!!!

Seriously though, I couldn't agree with you more, there are few people on this planet that I loathe more than Phatlock.

I honestly hopes he gets a coaching job. All B.S. aside, the guy did a great job at Tennessee.

Yes, I hate Tennessee worse than Auburn, but if you're not a Bama fan, say you're a Toledo fan......he has a pretty impressive resume.

Plus, he won't make it as an analyst. He's too country and laidback.

Coaches are born to coach. It's not about the money.

I hope the guy get's a chance somewhere.

He had a pretty impressive record as long as he had Roy Kramer running interference for him and David Cutcliffe as an OC. Otherwise, he's proved to be pretty ordinary. It didn't hurt either that he mostly didn't have to contend with a full strength Tide. :sifone::willy_nilly::sifone:

Please, God, tell me that I won't have to watch the fat imbecile on tv any time any place - analyst or otherwise. I've seen enough of his nose picking antics to do me a life time.

This is too much a family friendly site for me to spew the venom that I feel towards this ingrate.

Fulmer could get a job as a greeter at the Maryville Wal-Mart. They could just build a platform for him and lay him up there Jabba the Hutt style. Then they could chain Tommy Culpepper beside him to crack on the people coming in for Fulmer's entertainment.

I do not wish to be unduly harsh on CPF, but I think his future prospects to be successful are very limited. I've watched his window of success in the 90's followed by about 10 years of mostly unremarkable football. If he takes a job at a have-not in a conference with 3 or 4 haves, the results will be disastrous. He is not a coach that does more with less.

Even so, I think he could actually be successful at a program like Miami or Notre Dame where talent infusion runs high, and which presents an easier ride than a SEC schedule. The achilles heel for CPF was upper-tier SEC programs.

Keep Florida, LSU, Auburn, and of recent Bama off the schedule, and he can win some games for you.

It's right here... Phil is now the new spokesperson and head chef for donuts.

Would it not be ironic if Bobby Johnson makes the jump to his Alma Mater at Clemson to replace Tommy Bowden. Then Phillip Fulmer makes the move to take over another SEC school at Vanderbilt in which he coached at in the late 1970's. That is College football at its finest. What would you guys think?
Stranger things have happened. Fulmer's record in the SEC would be enviable if viewed from Vanderbilt's perspective. However, I think utjughead is correct in his observation that Fulmer does not do more with less. On the other hand, suppose Fulmer went to Vandy and brought Chavis with him. The annual UT-Vandy battle would be interesting...

He did an excellent job in my opinion and I would like to see him stick around for a while to help the new coach(please NOT Lane Kiffin) adjust to the surroundings and hardships of the SEC and things like that.

I personally don't care what he does...I just hope he inherits the whirlwind...I really wanted him to stick around for a few more whippings before getting fired...I wanted him to know beyond a shadow of a doubt that the Crimson Tide was personally responsible for his firing...

Why do we even allow this color on TideFans? I can't even read this. It hurts my eyes...:biggrin::biggrin:
