Re: Confession Time: Have You Ever Given Up on the Tide BEFORE A Game Was Actually
I gave up in BDS in 2005 for the UT game. Our offense was anemic after Prothro went down that year... Then Arian Foster fumbled through the back of the endone and the rest is history.
A little back story...
We're leaving out on Saturday morning as well... We'd leave on Friday evening, except I am running sideline film for the Derby v. Maize football game Friday evening... We're pretty pumped about Saturday, can't wait to get there! RTR!
I already have tickets. Thanks Knockturnal, and welcome! I appreciate the restaurant suggestions... I will definitely have to try one of those out! I am pretty excited, i haven't seen Bama in person since the 2005 Cotton Bowl... RTR!
I don't think that I will be driving through Ft. Smith... The route that I have planned takes 412 through Tulsa all the way into Springdale, then South into Fayetteville...
257WBY - We won't be there very long as I have to get back to the grind on Monday morning... Just looking for anything...
I am taking my son to his first Crimson Tide football game this weekend! I am also making my first trip to Fayetteville... For those of you that have been there... Is there anything special in Fayetteville that I should see? Any restaurants that we should check out? Just looking for some...
I went to their 3rd preseason game against the Rams last weekend... Bobby was on the sidelines right in front of us the whole game... Don't think that he even saw the field that night... Bobby sure had a nose for the football when he was at Bama though...
I'll echo pretty much what has already been said with the experimentation with the different groupings. Also, Nix is a stud with a real nose for the ball... He was #4 in FBS last year in TFL as a Freshman... Just behind a couple of highly touted guys named Bowers and Fairly... No slouch...
Should be an interesting couple of days at work here in Wichita... It would make my month if we beat WSU...
I have NEVER been able to talk much about our b-ball team surrounded by KU, KSU, and WSU fans... C'MON FELLAS!!! Pull one more out!!!:biggrin2:
I am sure he will be in commercials just like Vernon Davis, Dez Bryant and others have done in the past... I figured more of the guys entering the draft would sign with Nike due to the switch over in 2012 though...
This... Dexter McCluster and Devin Hester fit this mold also... Heck even Danny Amendola was pretty successful this year... Maze would definitely be a draft day sleeper imo...
They should be great on D next year... I think that Weis is a "wow" hire... But I am not sure that UF has the correct personnel to run his style of offense... Time will tell on that one... I was kind of hoping that he would stick around with the Chiefs for a couple of more years... Meh... Pro...
